The day went by quicker then usual and I was actually glad. I couldn't wait to go home, eat, and relax. Plus, I know Simon misses his momma. I turn my computer off and begin packing up my things. I look out into the hallway and notice that it's dark. I'm always the last person to leave, it never fails. I grab my bag and walk out of my office, closing and locking it up. Thank God Jason left already. He was only here for a tour and to learn the ropes. He doesn't officially start till next week. I sigh thinking of today's events as I get on the elevator.
I can't believe Jason did all that earlier and then had the nerve to say that it's he's doing it because it's something I want when in actuality it's him that wants it. The nerve of his ass. I shake my head and exit the elevator. I wave and say goodbye to the cleaning people and security before exiting the building. I pull my bag closer to me and race to my car quickly pressing the button to unlock it.
It's not that this is a bad neighborhood or anything but still you always have to be careful. I'm a virgin and I only want to lose it on my own terms willing. I start my car and pull out of the parking lot shooting home. I turn my car off and head for my steps dropping my keys. "Shit!" I groan searching for them on the dark ground. "You look like you could use some help." A familiar voice calls out behind me. I stand up straight and come face to face with Jason. "No thank you. I got it."
"Then why are your keys still on the ground." He reaches down in front of me and picks them up. I reach out for them and he draws his hand back. "Give me my keys Jason!" I whisper yell.
"No."
"Oh my freaking God. Come on now! I'm tired and all I want to do is go in my house and rest."
"Then let's go in and rest."
"No Jason. Would it kill you to leave me alone?. Damn! We are over. Just leave me alone. Everything was fine until you came back. You've ruined me enough and I'm not gonna let you destroy my happiness again." I snatch my keys from him and walk up to my front door.
"If you would just listen to me..."
"I have been listening and it all sounds too familiar. I'm over you and your bullshit Jason." I put my key in the whole (That's what he said😂😂) and turned the lock."Wait Sasha!" He grabs ahold of my arm before I can walk inside and turns me around. "That's the thing Jason. I did wait, I waited for you to tell the can driver to turn around. I waited for you at graduation. I waited for you at prom and I waited for you to come back all summer. I'm done waiting on you."
I snatch away from him and walk inside closing the door behind me locking it back. Enough is enough.
I'm tired of him and these little confrontations. First he's moves in next door to me; then, shows up at my parents house, and then has the nerve to apply and get hired at the same place where I work!. It's like all of this was done deliberately. I shake my head and walk into my bedroom. I look around and see Simon laid out in my bed sound asleep. I place my bag down and begin getting undressed. A nice hot shower is all I need and possibly a memory eraser. I just need to clear my mind and get rids of the thoughts and memory's of Jason. What's done is done. The past is the past and you can't change it nor go back to it. The only thing you can do is learn from it and move on, and that's what I intend to do.
