I reclined on my comfy couch, relaxing after a hard day of being killed. I had found a particularly interesting book about the history of the sword and various fighting techniques. I took a sip of my coffee, enjoying the peace, when I heard squeals of fright and hisses. Curious, I got up, and carefully opened the door.

A dark haired cat, green, almost, was dangling by the scruff from where Sam held it. It hissed at everyone and everything. I saw why though. They were doing everything wrong when you had a cat. Especially by holding by the scruff. I dashed forward, rescuing the cat.

"Sam! That's not how you should hold a cat! Are you ok? What did the mean Valkyrie do to you?" I coed over the cat, trying to calm it down. The cat scratched and hissed. I stoked it, trying to get it to relax.

"Hey! Calm down. I'm not hurting you!" The cat seemed to recognize that I wasn't going to hurt it, and eventually melted into my arms, purring with the strokes. I looked up and saw the whole floor staring at me in astonishment. With a shrug, I carried it to my room. The cat's gaze looked me up and down.

Using one arm to cradle the cat, I used the other arm to open my room. Using my foot to shut the door, I carried the cat to where I had been sitting. I set it down in the soft grass, making sure it was comfy. It looked up at me, mewing with what sounded like shock. It stood up, walking closer, then curled up on my lap. I was stunned for a few seconds, before relaxing.

After a few moments, it nudged the book I had laid down. I picked it up, trying see what it wants. It gave a nod, saying 'go on' so, I stared reading. It's gaze remained on me the whole time, following my mouth as I read about Norse techniques.

Soon, the cat drifted off, purring gently. I looked at my watch, and seeing how it was almost dinner, gently lifted the cat off so I could get up. The cat awoke almost immediately, and mewed indignatly about being moved from it's comfy spot. I walked to my bathroom, and decided to pull the long strands into a small bun.

The cat hopped from the ground to my counter to my shoulder, and nuzzled it's nose on my cheek. It saw my bun, and playfully prodded it. I rolled my eyes.

"Silly cat. I need to give you a name. Hmm. Kitty? No. How about Cattus? It's Latin for cat." The cat seemed to agree with that option. It purred as it rubbed its muzzle on my hand.

"Cattus it is." I said with a smile.

"Well, I have to go to dinner. Do you want to come?" Cattus lept on my shoulders, it's tail curling around my arm. I made my way to the elevator. Trying to balance Cattus on my shoulder, but it seemed fluke it was having a hard time staying on. Rolling my eyes, I picked Cattus off my shoulder, and cradled him in my arms. He (I decided he was a he) looked suprised at the sudden gesture.

I walked out of the elevator, heading to the dining hall. Once I went in, I tracked down the floor 19. The cat hissed at the loudness. I clutched it tighter to my chest, seeing if that would calm it down. Instead of sitting with everyone, I found a small quiet alcove. The cat seemed on edge, shaking. Once I had sat, I pulled Cattus into my lap.

"Shh. It's ok. I'll stay with you until you calm down. I'm here." The cat licked my cheek in appreciation.

I held the Cattus in my arms, almost at my room. I heard some shuffling, and someone pushed Sam towards me. She death glares them all, but sighs in resignation.

"Magnus? You know that cat you have there?"

"Yes?"

"That's Alex. He shifted and couldn't go back. Could he stay with you until he can shift back?" The cat, Alex apparently, shifted uncomfortably in my arms.

"Yeah, totally! Hi Alex! You are very cute cat." I coed to him, already opening the door to my room. Alex stares up at me in astonishment.

"What? We're friends and you are a very cute cat. But I need to get ready for bed."

I got into my bed, pulling up the soft sheets. Alex watched awkwardly from the side.

"Get in here." His face twisted in confusion.

"Come on. You aren't sleeping on the floor. " He tentatively lept to the bed, and curled next to my stomach. Aww. Eventually, I drifted off, softly brushing Alex's fur. Around midnight, I had a dream. I saw a figure lean over me, and kiss my forehead.

"Sleep well, my love."

Just a dream.
