Magnus POV

I inhaled the soft, yet also strong, scent of ground coffee. I turned to the coffee machines, whisking up a red mug. I quickly slid a crossaint into a paper pouch, setting it next to the coffee.

"Order for Jackson?" A teen in a orange sweatshirt with sea green eyes scooped up the food before finding a spot in the back to eat. The next customer came up to the register. He wore a green and pink vest with a rainbow pin and combat boots. He glanced up at the menu before his eyes rested on me with a blush.

"Two teas, one chai and one black. And a scone, please." He ordered while pulling out his wallet. I nodded.

"That's $10.39, pick up at the counter or to go?" I said while jotting down his order.

"To go, please." He paid as I slid a cardboard cup under a machine depositing hot water. I busied  myself with the order, processing the order of two others, a pair of boys, one kind of emo looking and the other a human representation of the sun, and another a girl with spiky black hair and blue eyes.

Throughout all of that, I overheard the conversation between the slightly (very) attractive guy in the best and a one with bouncy red hair.

"Ask him out, dude."

"No. He's way too hot." Glancing up, I saw their gazes flicking from me to each other. Smiling, I finished their coffees, jotting my number down on the guy's cup. I put the scone in a pouch, calling  his name.

He approached, snatching them up without making eye contact. As they were about to walk out, he whispered excitedly to the girl, showing her his cup. He glanced across the room, eyes meeting mine. Winking, I pulled my hair up, following with a 'call me' gesture. He blushed and hustled out, still chatting excitedly.
