Chapter 20 - Jealousy

Taehyung was walking back and forth in his restaurant, observing his diligent workers adhered to their tasks and to make sure he was satisfied with their jobs. It was his routine to keep all of his restaurants achieved the highest qualities because he loved seeing people's satisfaction when dining in his restaurant.

He took a seat in his office exclusively made for him at the highest level of the restaurant and took a sip of fresh orange made by one of his chefs while scrolling down his phone. He immediately noticed a notification.

A message from Chaeyoung.

Hi Tae! What are you doing? Busy huh😛 Just wanna tell you that I'll be gone for 3 days and 2 nights for our school trip at Jeju Island. So if I happened to not answer you calls or messages, I'm sorry😅

He smiled as he saw the message. It has always been this way before since they were children. Chaeyoung always told him wherever she went or what she did in the meantime and he eternally grateful for that. It made him feel important, needed for her. She actually had told him beforehand about the trip and even invited him to join as well. But being a busy boss as him making it harder to agree at that time with her invitation.

Abruptly taking his denim jacket, he shoved his car keys inside his pocket and quickly went out of his office to downstairs.

"Irene, there's nothing else left involving my opinions right? Any issues? Settled for sure?" Taehyung asked the supervisor appointed for his restaurant.

"Settled, sir. You don't have to worry because we can handle things here." Portraying her smile, she assured him.

"Good. Then, I want to inform that I'll be away for 3 days and I hope you manage possible situations arise well, got it?" He continued, "and the rest, please give cooperation okay?"

"Roger that sir," everyone in the kitchen agreed wholeheartedly.

"Thank you and see you guys soon," with that, he went out of the restaurant and got into his car.

Irene stared at Taehyung as he slowly disappeared from her view.

"Hmm...I wonder who will be the lucky girl to be our boss's girlfriend. I mean look at him, he has everything. Look, wealth and manners." Yeri propped her elbows on top of the cashier counter, putting her face on her palms while observing Taehyung's figure.

"Oh God you scared me!" Irene turned her head towards Yeri, widened her eyes at her junior.

"Oopss sorry unnie, never thought you would be shocked. Did you zone out about something or did I interfere you stalking our boss," Yeri teased her with a smug grin causing her to panic although she hardly showed it.

Am I that obvious?

"Done talking? Now go and resume your work," she strictly instructed.

"Ahh unnie. I'm just kidding. But it's okay your secret is safe with me," Yeri winked at her and quickly ran to clean the tables before Irene could even bark at her.

"Aishh this kid." She muttered to herself.

Irene admitted that she likes Taehyung. He is such a great guy and being a gentleman as he is undeniably made him slowly paving his way into her heart. She did not even realized when he had already there, engraved his own spot inside her heart. Perhaps all women would feel the same way. She never thought of confessing her feeling for him as she thought he might already have someone that he likes. Besides, she had seen him brought in a woman before and that lady was one of the most beautiful women she ever laid her eyes onto. She seemed nice and sweet too. Maybe that was his girlfriend because he was way too perfect to be single.
