"They should've been back by now." The man comments.
"I said it was a trap." The woman says.
"If that's true. Perhaps we should move the Ymbrynes now." Mr Barron says, standing from his seat. Not noticing the peculiar children in the audience.
"You're not serious?" Miss Edwards replies.
"Do I not look serious? Do I not look like a man who has searched the globe for just one more eye to eat in hopes of gaining sufficient humanity, to return to his research? A man who's spent years hunting Ymbrynes in preparation for this night, and spend two, no three, days in Wales, pretending to look at birds?" Mr Barron says. "I assure you, I will not stand idly by to see my destiny derailed." He is then blown back by Emma into a target, and Jake attempts to shoot him- but misses. Mr Baron's companions then get up to help Mr Barron.
"Hugh, do it now." Jake says. Hugh stands and opens his mouth, letting the bees fly out and go after the two. The woman pulls of her skirt to reveal monkey legs and tail. She uses the infrastructure to climb higher, escaping the bees. The man screams from being stung, and then jumps into a small pool to escape the bees.
"Come back here! Get them!" Mr Barron shouts at his woman companion, up a pole. She looks to the man and nods, she then uses a rope to swing down and grab a bucket full of throwing knives. She gets in position and starts to throw them, at where the children are- missing them.
"Go, get down!" Jake says to the children.
"You think you can get in my way? You, Jake, content to age and die as if you had not the gift of peculiarity at all?" Mr Barron asks, coming closer to him. Enoch goes to attack him, but he gets knocked unconscious by Mr Barron. "I am a higher being! I hold the secret to eternal life! I-"
"Sorry, to interrupt." Olive says, touching the man's shoulder and setting it on fire.
"What the-?" He asks, he then whips his jacket of and attacking Olive with it. Giving Jake the distraction to load the crossbow. He looks over to Bronwyn.
"Bronwyn." He whisper, she nods and gets ready. Mr Barron puts his jacket back on again, and Jake attempts to shoot him. Mr Barron moves out the way.
"Huh! You missed me again, Jake. I take it that accuracy is not your peculiarity." He says with a laugh, but is cut off when Bronwyn throws a chair at him. He falls to the floor and then gets back up, Jake goes to shoot at him but he transforms his hand into a whip type thing. he uses this to pull the crossbow from Jake's hands. Jake runs at him with a weapon, but Mr Barron pushes him to the floor. Emma gasps. "Abe was a much worthier adversary." Mr Barron says. He starts to walk towards backstage.
"Don't let him get to the birds." Jake groans out to Horace, who was the one standing in Mr Barron's way. Horace uses his projector to project an image of bird flying at Mr Barron. He pretends to shriek and shy away, but then he laughs. Horace lowers the projector as Mr Barron approached him. Mr Barron then feels the collars of Horace's suit.
"You must put me in contact with your tailor." He comments, and then pushes Horace aside. "Ymbrynes! Ymbrynes! Here I come!" Mr Barron calls out as he makes his way backstage. Jake grabs the crossbow and then he and Emma rush backstage after Mr Barron.
