I wake up at an hospital, and I looks around. I quickly notice a female humanoid creature with bunny-like ears. She looks at me and my heart was pounding. Then, she stood, and seems to be happy, and smiles
"At last, I thought you died!" She gladly exclaims, shocking me a bit.
"D-d-do I know y-y-y-you?" I scaredly ask.
Her smile disappears. "Yes. Don't you remember?" She asks back.
I try to remember who she is, then I remember. I was at my school, with my classmates at Section 2-A, and then we all stumbled upon a book which I read, then I was knocked out, holding a doll similar to the creature... I named the doll El'Nir.
"I...think. El'Nir...?" I shyly reply to her.
She smiles again. "Yes! I knew you would!"
"But I thought..." I mumbled.
"Thought what?" She asks, her ears seems to twitch a bit.
"You're... a doll. Where am I?" I ask.
She seems comfused. "A doll? I'm an Ler. Some of us go with adventures. You're in Altaris." She answers.
"Altaris? Where on Earth is that?" I ask again.
"...Earth...? Is that where you came from?" She asks me back.
"Um... yeah..." I respond. "I need to go back home..."
"I could help you, as your companion!" She says with enthusiasm. "Wait, what's your name?"
I facepalmed, then I look at El'Nir.
"My name... Mark." I answer.
"Eh, Mark. Shall we?" She holds out her hand. I take it, and then we go out of the hospital the afternoon of that day.
I check my bag for my items, and notices my notebooks full of drawing. El'Nir peeked at one of the drawings, but I didn't let her. We then walk at an inn.
"Say, um... Mark, can I be your... companion for... your journey?" El'Nir suddenly asks while I check my items.
"What... do you mean?" I ask back, then I felt a strange thing behind me, and when I looked back, I saw her, sitting.
"Um... it's something... we commonly... um... some of us..." she tries to explain.
"Let me guess, some kind of imprint that bonds one Leraan and any creature into a companionship?" I ask.
"Yes, yes that. How did you know? Do you have magic?" She replies and asks back.
"No... just a hunch." I answer.
El'Nir yawns, then sleeps on a bed beside where I'm gonna sleep. I look outside, and under an alien night sky, I try to identify the contellations, then I slept. But, I cannot sleep thinking of my other classmates, friends, and people that I know. El'Nir wakes up, and seems to cannot sleep too.
"Can't sleep?" I ask.
"Um... yeah. To be honest, I never felt like this. Some sort of bond to someone, something like that..." she replies. "Well, it's gonna be a big day tomorrow, good night..." then she went back to sleep.
"Good night" I whisper, then I fell asleep.
