Me and El'Nir wake up as usual, and we head out to the next part of the town. Ever since I came, and El'Nir has became my companion, she began to act like me. Well, since I am scared at some objects, she, on the contrary, are scared at some things I like the most. I noticed it just now because of her simple long-sleeved clothing. I decided not to talk about it, and then a meteor-like object crashes in front of us, causing some dust to momentarily blind us. Out of the dust, a woman rises, and she looks around, and quickly spots me.
"You, where am I?" She quickly asks.
"Altaris... mam." I answer.
The woman looks around, and looks back at me, slightly creeping me out.
"Thanks, my name's Lein Moggle." She says, handing out her hand so I can shake it.
I shake her hand then she quickly leaves.
"Man, I hope she doesn't come back to us for more directions." El'Nir commonts while looking at Lein.
"Yeah, she kinda... is fast." I add.
Then we continue walking. After some minutes, we reach a big gate, and some armored people. Must have been in the army. I thought.
"We should camp here for a while..." I suggest.
"Might have been..." El'Nir says, then someone suddenly shouts behind the wall.
"Mark? Mark! Get in! El'Nir! You teleport in! I have placed an Teleport Beacon!" The voice shouts.
"Alright! We are going in!" El'Nir exclaimed, then she pulls me near her and she casts a teleport spell.
I look around. We are in a laboratory, then a woman in a lab coat approaches us.
"Eh, you must be Mark Eliar Johnson. I'm Laura Crafters, I'm half-human." The woman in lab coat introduce.
"Ah, Mayor Laura, right?" El'Nir asks.
"Yes, right! Why did you came into this, mixed city?" She asks.
"We were finding for the publisher of this book, The Portal: The Complete Trilogy. Can you help?" I replied.
"Oh, she's not here. She's at the Publishing Tower. Just, some blocks from here. Also, have this." She says, then she hands me a suspicious-looking book.
"A spellbook?" El'Nir asks.
"No, it's a copy of N21 Alph- no, way. Tell me what you see." Laura replies, then El'Nir opens the book, and we see spells for each chapter. Hundreds of spells. Laura writes all we see down.
"And... there is this chapter where... Leraan Magic. I can't say this. I might start an bomb." El'Nir explains after she stopped at an page.
I take the book and continue, until its finished. Then, while rescanning the spellbook, I saw its name. It's... Book of Proffesor. "Book of Proffesor..." I womdered.
Laura became troubled. She was in the possession of a weapon. She quickly lead the way and let us keep the book.
We quickly found the floor she was in. Floor 57. We approached the door, and knocks once, then we entered.
She was surprised after we entered the room.
"Miss, you published this 2 books?" I asked, showing the 2 books.
"Yes, I did." The publisher answered. She noticed something, but we ignored it.
"Why did you came here?" She asks.
"Something in Altaris is trying to take full control. It's not just a book. It's a Book of Proffesor." El'Nir replies, then she enters a state of shock and casted a spell which blowed us out of the building.
"Leraan. Miranda, El'Miranda." El'Nir says to me.
"Oh, so that'- wait, she is like you?" I ask.
"Yeah, but without companion. You saw her dress, right? Like someone but with a hat." El'Nir replies. "And very long hats hide..."
"The ears?" I ask.
"Exactly." El'Nir comments. "Let's get back home. Hold on to me."
I hold on to her, then she says a teleportation spell back to where we slept; the apartment. Somehow she already bought the apartment.
"Seems like another day... I miss my home..." I mumbled. I didn't notice that El'Nir heard that. Oh well.
Then we slept for the night.
