Chapter 9 - The Dance 🥀

Ashley entered in the hall room while searching for Jessica.

"Hey!", She heard a voice from behind, Jessica.

"Hi!", they hugged.

"You're looking stunning.", Jessica said looking in the red dress.

"Saying the prettiest girl.", Ashely smiled.

"Oh c'mon.", They laughed together.

"Did you see Kai?", Ashley asked.

"There!", Jessica pointed to a corner. Ashley found Kai there holding cupcake in his hand and talking to some girl.

"Who is she?", Ashley asked.

"Raya, she is hitting on him.", Jessica said.

"Wow!", Ashley chuckled.

She saw Kai looked at her and instantly came to her.

"Hey, do you have any cupcakes?", He said.

Ashely looked at his hand, there was still a half finished cupcake. She took a cake from her plate and gave that to him. Though he pouted, wanting some more. Ashley breathed out heavily and placed the entire plate in his hand.

"Enjoy!", She faked a smile and walked away.

Kai laughed softly and ran behind her.

"Hey Ashley listen.", He stopped her.

"I don't have more cup cakes Kai.", She turned to him.

"No I was just teasing you.", He smiled.

"Kai!", An another female voice came from behind.

"Your date is calling you.", Ashley whispered when she saw Raya coming towards them.

"Date?", Kai asked in confusion.
Raya reached them already.

"Hey Kai. Everyone is going to the dance floor do you wanna come with me?", Raya asked in a very sweet voice.

Ashely bit her lower lip to hold the smile back. Kai blankly looked at Ashley then and at Raya.

"Ahh, Ashley was just asking me for that. Right Ashley?", He looked at her.

"Me?", Ashley looked at him in shock.

"Yah. Let's go.", He took her hand, "Sorry Raya.", Passed a smile to her.

Then they headed to the dance floor.

"When did I ask you?", Ashley asked while clinching her teeth.

"I just needed a reason to escape from her.", He said the loud music suddenly turned into a song and romantic one.

Kai placed his hand above Ashely's waist and she kept her hand on his chest. Their other hands joined in one another. And they started dancing.

[We were sitting in a parked car
Stealing kisses in the front yard
We got questions we should not ask but]

Kai was making a direct eye contact. Ashely looked around to avoid his hot gaze. He was smiling slightly. She tried to smile back but she was having a weird feelings and that stopped her. She felt her whole world was spinning around her.
She closed eyes and his picture flashed in her mind, Darshan.
She instantly opened her eyes but it didn't help. She saw him in front of her. She became shocked.

Darshan was smiling looking at her.
He turned her around then pushed her down holding her in his arms firmly.

Ashley felt she was sweating. Her breathing became fast. She again closed her eyes and then opened. And this time she found Kai in front of her.

He kept his hand on her waist again, took her hand making them place on his hand and held her up.
Ashely felt her heart pounding fast inside her chest.

He leaned to her ear, "I'll be taking my time, spending my life , Falling deeper in love with you.." sang the song along with the music.

Ashley shut her eyes when his hot breath touched her skin. She was scared to open her eyes again. But she did and yeh saw him again.

Giving a smile to her, Darshan.
Ashley pushed him by his chest.

"Go away.", She said.

"What happened?", Kai asked in confuse.

"Just go away!", She turned around and left the hall room.

"Ashley!", Kai shouted behind her.
