Ok, so maybe he's a flirt.

And maybe I like him (slightly).

And maybe he likes me back, no. Correction. Of COURSE he likes me back. After all, I'm Brianna Lockwood, richest and most beautiful girl in the entire school. I spent 5 thousand bucks on gold truffle conditioner to make sure my hair swished just the way I wanted it to. So NO ONE could NOT like me, duh.

Wait.

Who's he with?

All I see is a lock of black hair with brown highlights. They're chattering with each other like soulmates, and- what? They're even holding hands. Ugh. I turn away, disgusted. Could there be anyone who's prettier than me and stole his heart? It should be reserved for me, Brianna Lockwood!

"Uh, Isaac? We... need to talk." I tap his shoulder gently while beckoning him to come with a smirk. To my horror, he waves his hand, dismissing me. I stand there with my mouth agape, looking like a total idiot. Did Isaac Abrams, the hottest guy in the school, just dismiss me? O. M. G. This is a total disgrace.

Then, the girl turns around to look at me- and I gasp.

She's pretty.

Not supermodel type, and definitely not in my league, but you gotta admit, she's got style. Somehow, her auburn-black hair, teal eyes and little cherry nose just is a perfect combination. And her clothes- even I couldn't pull off the long sleeves and checkered miniskirt.

"Oh, hey. I'm Alisha, and I'm new. Uh, Isaac's just showing me around," she replied when she saw me giving her the once over. Hmph. Showing her around? I suspected it was far more than that, and wanted to give a snappy reply when I realised- I was in front of Isaac. I couldn't stand being mean in front of my crush, could I? "Okay, Isaac? I'll see you in class! Tootles! And uh, Alisa? Welcome to Hetherington High." I wanted to put my message across subtly, to show that I was still Isaac's woman- but I don't think Alisha paid much attention to what I said, she was busy marveling at the décor in the halls.

Seriously. Had she ever been in a school before?
