"No! May I propose an alternative solution?" Magnate Leto cut in.
"As you wish."
Magnate Leto transmitted something to Emery- Alisha knew. Emery nodded slowly and transmitted it to the other Councillors. They nodded.
"Fine. Miss Lennox, you are hereby appointed Special Correspondent of the Forbidden Cities. Your home will still be here, but you are welcome to come and go as you wish, with the condition that you report everything to us."
Alisha was overjoyed. "So... I can see Isaac, Junie, all of them again?"
"Yes, including a certain Brianna Lockwood."
Alisha rolled her eyes. Not her again.
But despite everything, Alisha was going to hold her head high, she was going to do her duty.
"I accept my new role."
For she was strong.
She was unwavering.
