PROM NIGHT

Alisha's dress sparkled under the disco lights. The gossamer gown was her mother's, and only the elves had materials to make it. All eyes were on her as she danced in Isaac's hands.

"I want you forever," Isaac whispered, seeing Brianna's angry glares. Little did she know, she would be a little... smoky later on.

"So do I," Alisha muttered, twirling in Isaac's arms. The organisers were right; that night would be one to remember.

"Wanna tell me why you're whispering into a weird thing then?" Isaac questioned. Alisha felt weird telling him, but the Councillors had given her clearance to tell Isaac after checking his background, so...

"Yeah, thing is I'm not human."

"Not human, riiiiight. Like I'd believe that."

"Um, you totally would?"

"No."

"Oi! Sarah, get over here! Sarah's like me, just that her power is different. I'm an Empath, so I read emotions, but she reads minds, she's a Telepath. Do you give her permission to search your memories?"

"Yeah."

"Okay! So you saw that Alisha leaped into the light and has an Imparter?" Sarah questioned.

"Yeah. Alisha isn't the most inconspicuous."

"Alisha---" Sarah chided as they all laughed together, just as Brianna's smoke bomb went off.

"Argh! My dress!" she exclaimed as everyone laughed at her.

In the Forbidden Cities, all was well.
