After Woozi dropped me off at my house and made sure I’d be okay until my mom got home I jumped in the shower. After I made sure all the blood was invisible and the bruise on my stomach covered I go downstairs and get a snack.

Mom: Hello.

Madilyn: Hey, didn’t hear you come in.

Mom: I got home about five minutes ago. Why are you home early? Don’t you have baseball practice?

Madilyn: I threw up and Woozi wouldn’t let me go.

Mom: He sure does care about you.

Madilyn: I’m his Noona, of course, he cares.

Mom: You’re only three days older than him.

Madilyn: Still counts, mother.

Mom: I’ve been thinking.

Madilyn: About?

Mom: Your brother did something productive with his life and I’d like you to do the same.

Madilyn: I’m playing baseball.

Mom: I’d like you to become an actor or idol.

Madilyn: That life's not for me and you know it.

Mom: You can sing and your moods change so easily!

Madilyn: What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Mom: Exactly what I said. You’re getting on a flight tomorrow to stay with your brother and his group for a while. I’ve already discussed it all with the PD and he agreed.

Madilyn: I’m not going unless God himself comes and drags me there.

Mom: They’re in Canada right now and I’ve already bought the ticket.

Madilyn: Where’s the ticket?

She hands over the ticket and I throw it in the fire that was burning.

Madilyn: You better hope God comes tomorrow morning with a new ticket to Canada and drags me out of bed.

I slam the front door and start walking to Woozi’s. What the hell is she thinking? I know I’m not an idol or anything but I’m still her daughter. I can take after the family business! I don’t have to be an idol! I walk to Woozi’s and he opens the door.

Woozi: Hey. Is everything okay?

I put my arms on his shoulder and rest my head on his chest.

Woozi: What’s wrong?

Madilyn: I’m dizzy.

He picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist while he carries me to his room.

Woozi: I’m going to go get you some water.

He leaves and is gone for about two minutes. He hands me the water and I drink it.

Woozi: Madilyn, will you please tell me what happened at school today?

Madilyn: I already told you Woozi.

I look him in his eyes and see anger but he sighs and runs his fingers through his hair.

Woozi: I can’t protect you if you won’t tell me anything.

Madilyn: I’m okay, I promise Woozi.

Woozi: Want something to eat?

Madilyn: I’m fine.
