Awake

Madilyn POV

I wake up and get blinded by the lights. I look to my side and see Yoongi holding my hand. He's asleep with his head on my lap. Where am I? I look around and realize I'm in a hospital room. Why? I shift when I get a piercing pain in my side and accidentally wake Yoongi.

Suga: Madi?

He gets up and calls for a doctor. He comes back in the room and sits back down in his chair.

Suga: I can't believe you're up.

Madilyn: Of course I'm up.

He starts crying and strokes my cheek with his thumb.

Madilyn: Why am I here?

Suga: I'll explain when the others get back.

Just then the doctor comes in. She tells me my name and asks if I remember it. She asks a whole bunch of other questions and an hour later the boys come in. They all give me a hug and start crying.

Madilyn: Why are you all crying?

Jimin: You weren't supposed to wake up.

Jin: Do you know why you're here?

Madilyn: N-no.

Tae: You got hit by a car. You bruised a rib and broke a leg. Your whole body was bruised. And went into a coma.

Jungkook: Doctors said you'd wake up in a month. If not by then you'd either die or wake up and not remember anything at all. Not even us.

He starts crying and RM pulls him into a hug.

Jhope: We put a pause on our career. We did one show that was dedicated to you about two months after you being here.

FLASHBACK Yoongi POV

Jin and Tae have been arguing about what songs we should perform. They've both already forgotten we decided on the songs. Tae has been starting little arguments with everyone. Not because he wants to, just because he's exhausted. Madi was supposed to wake up a month ago. That was her deadline that was keeping her safe from anything worse happening to her.

Jin: 'For You' was her favorite song. This show is about her, isn't it?

Tae just breaks and starts crying. Jin pulls him into a hug and holds him.

RM: We just have to be strong for her. That's what this show is for. Her.

We all nod at him a yes in agreement. Tae calms down and we all go perform. We all perform our lines in 'For You'. Jungkook sings 'Euphoria', Tae and J-Hope do 'Don't Leave Me', Jimin and I do 'Best Of Me,' and RM and Jin do 'Save Me'. After we all sing we just stop and stare at each other.

Jin: As you all know, someone very close to us hasn't been doing well.

RM: Madi has been in a coma for two months now.

Jimin: Doctors were hoping she'd be awake a month ago.

By then, I had tears in my eyes. Jungkook was crying while J-Hope comforted him and cried also.

Jin: This concert is dedicated to her. All the songs we chose were for her.

We all planned on saying words to her but we're a mess.

Jin: I guess I'll start. Madilyn has been with us for over a year now. She's taught us a lot over that year. I think the most important thing she taught me was, I don't always have to be so hard on the younger ones. She taught me patience and how to help them instead of scolding them when they do wrong. She also taught me a lot about myself. She taught me to take care of others while taking care of myself because, even though its good I take care of them, I also need to take care of myself. I really miss the way she always appreciated my cooking or how she tried to learn how to cook just for me. Right now I'm just saying strong and having faith she'll come back to us happy and healthy.
