There was also a compass and a map on a digital screen in there. I almost closed the bag again when I saw one last thing. It was a note. When I read the note it said:
Hello darling.
I have lit a candle already. I miss you so so much, but I know you can do this. Wish I was there with you. ❤ You are always in my heart. And I will be in yours. Please, please come back. I love you.

My tears dripped on the paper. Quickly I wiped them away and hoped no one saw it, but as I looked around the group had gotten really quiet and were sniffing and smiling. I don't know if the gamemakers put this in our bags for encouragement or to make us extra vulnerable. I felt confused, but I knew it had helped.

'Let us stay here for the night. James and I will take first watch untill one,' Toby said. I nodded thankful. I just wanted to go to sleep. It was very cold and the ground was really hard, but I still fell asleep immediately with the note in my hand.
