So here's one thing:
Be who you are; let them love you for that.

In my years of being a student, I've tried a lot of attempts in fitting in in order to belong. Some attempts were successful yet fleeting, others were not. That pain lasted especially in the first years of Junior High School.

Primarily, the successful ventures of belongingness occurred since I started adjusting myself for them - doing things I'm not comfortable of, keeping myself updated on stuff I'm not interested in, even making errands I shouldn't be doing in the first place.

In the end, those friendships ended, thankfully. But in an unfortunate sense, I'm back to zero.

On a fortunate sense, I found myself appreciating my own until I found one friend who stayed like glue. Finally, a person who cherished me for being me, and not for anything else.

Consequently, I started to focus more on ourselves rather than on people around us and what they say about us. With the help of perseverance, a little bit of bragging, and a jazz of hustling, we finally proved ourselves against those.

Found a team I can rely on, a Christian family which spiritually strengthens me, and lots of juniors who inspire me to push my limits. Lucky, I should say, but the better term is blessed.

There, I learned that people would really love you for being you. You just have to find your way to them, or theirs to you.

Let them appreciate your flaws, let them become your guide. Even if unexpected circumstances arrive, surely they will stand by you and conquer everything, with you and for you.

Let them love you in your unlovable times. At those breakdowns, let them embrace you back to life. Give them a chance in staying by your side.

Because one day, you will return all of these to them as a way of showing appreciation. And you will realize how true love works - a process of reciprocity and sharing what you have.

Loving yourself and loving others, indeed a colorful story. ❤️
