Another reminder on the way:
Don't let your happiness depend on someone except yourself.

This is an issue I admit I have. I tend to depend my mood on other people. For example, if they're upset, I would be as well. And if they're ecstatic, I would become, too. This, however, is a very shallow mindset one can possess (and should not possess long.)

Although there are instances that emotions are contagious, never let yourself become reliant on others, for it would really hit you in the long run.

For instance, if my friend's upset of me, I would be upset of other people; which in turn, I shouldn't be in the first place. Perhaps, it could be considered a domino effect, but if one thing must be like that, it should be happiness.

Happiness should radiate from the inside. Just like how acceptance rolls, this warm feeling should not be held by other people (or material thing.) Although a lot of people tell that you can be happy through obtaining your desires, but in the end there would always be a hollow spot which objects cannot fill.

Try being thankful of yourself, or eating that extra cake you owe yourself. It would help if you pamper yourself at some time. Also, try looking at the mirror and giving that sweet smile to yourself first. Psychologically speaking, it would raise your confidence and it would also impose a positive outlook towards other people. A win-win, I should say.

But, just like self-acceptance, this also takes time. Nothing's better than a well-ripen fruit, or a well-bloomed flower. You don't need to speed up the process, you just have to keep yourself into it. You may not see the effects in an immediate, but the gradual change would come eventually.

In the end, you would find yourself being unreliable of other people just to become happy. I'm not suggesting you to stay single for the rest of your life, but it would be considered a lifetime reward if you stay contented and happy of your own company.

Smile, it's your gift to yourself. ❤️
