So I'm back with a another chapter. It has been a full of three minutes since I last updated but I'm inpatient and I want you guys to have fun reading. Also tell me if the chapters are to long because the last two where actually five so ummm...... enjoy. And have a nice life? I don't know what I'm doing. Ok bye 👋

"Good morning Lara, how did you sleep?" I purposely forced a tone of happiness into my voice.

"Fine," was Lara's absent minded response.

"Are they new earrings, I really like them which shop did you buy them from?" I tried to pass my forced happiness onto Lara but she clearly wouldn't having it.

"Oh just one of the shop in the market. I saw them on display a knew that I simply had to have them. I didn't have any money on me at the time, but lucky the man at the shop said I could have them for free."

"Lara did you steal them!? That's illegal." Laar wasn't just the best information broker she was also a decent pick pocket.

"I don't steal things!" Lara blurted out, giving me an offended look. "I'm just really good at acquiring things that aren't mine"

"I still think that counts as stealing. Anyway do you have any information or not." I asked getting down to business.

"Ok so this is what I've found out about your shady man." Lara sat in front of me eating a sandwich and scanning thought the files on the table."Your shady man is a trusted friend to the the king and is extremely good fighter. He has a large influence over the king and his favourite food is cake."

I gave Lara a astonished look, "Really his favourite food is cake, that's what I paid you to find out, that his favourite food is cake. Lara I meant I where he was staying or if he had any misdeeds that I could use to blackmail him, I couldn't care least about his favourite food."

"I was done yet." Lara picked out a folder from her collection and tossed it across the table. "I would seem that although this mystery man is a favourites of the king he is very hard to get information about. Apparently he turned up out of nowhere at the palace doorstep about five years ago. Any information about his past or where he live or who he was related to is non existing. I couldn't even find out his real name. Because i'm betting that Alca Mocho is just a fake. I mean who gives their child a name like Alca Mocho, it's dreadful. This man who ever is very good at hiding his past."

"Ok that is a little more useful. Thanks Lara" I grab my bag off the floor, standing i make my way to the door. "I will need you to keep poking around and let me know if you find anything else out about him."

"What about my money!" Lara said fixing her face into a distressed look.

"You get paid when I get paid, so stay alive until the end of winter and you will get your gold." I turn to leave.

"Wait!,"Lara yells. I turn around to see her looking down at the flood, her face riddled with worry. She opens her mouth as if to say something but them changes her mind.

"Yeah what." Lara is one to show her emotions so free although she'd never had the miserable classes with the Headmistress about never letting your emotions, she was never big on share her feeling. Or letting them show for that matter, usually just pushed them down deep inside of her, so this was strange.

"Umm." She also detested people who mumbled or fumbled over their words. "I...umm... just...umm...wanted..." Her voice trade of and the worriedness on her face was replaced with her usual mask of unfeelingness as she forced a smile. "Just be careful ok, this man is a unknown. Don't get too cocky around him."

"Ok." Such a plain simple word, a word that was just a throw away answer, and the wrong word to use. Turning, I left the room, Lara's strange behaviour still bobbing in my mind.
