Chapter 6: Star Reading Princess

Previously on Dog Days

Brioche: "The sudden and urgent battle to rescue the Princess was a success."

Yukikaze: "We're all very relieved!!"

Brioche: "I'm glad the Princess's concert went well!!"

Yukikaze: "And now we will have peaceful days ahead of us, hopefully!"

Brioche: "Yes, I certainly hope so!"

3rd POV

Ricotta: "The morning after the battle at Mion fortress and the Princess's concert, the warriors of Galette that had been staying in our territory began their retreat
to their homeland." Ricotta narrated

The soldiers finished packing the campsite up and went back to Galette

Ricotta: "And here at the throne in the Fillianno Castle" she said and then Millhi spoke

Millhi: "Dear Knights of Biscotti. Not discouraged by the many lost battles, you have done well for the last two consecutive battles. And I thank you." she said kindly to them all

Biscotti Council Member: "And now to present you with your reward. Leader of the Knights, Count Loran Martinozzi, step forward to meet Her Highness." he ordered

(They never say their names by the way. Just pointing that out.)

Loran: "Yes sir!" he said

Cinque looked at Yuki and then spoke

Cinque: "You guys go all out for these types of things." he said

Ricotta: "Hero, who do you think we are?" she questioned him

Millhi than gave Loran his reward

Yukikaze: "This is a national affair. Of course we do things properly." she informed him

Cinque: "I see..." he said quietly

It was then Eclair's turn to get her reward.

Biscotti Council Member: "Leader of the Royal Guard Countress Eclair Martinozzi."

Eclair: "Yes sir!"

Eclair stepped forward and kneeled in respect

Millhi: "Eclair. You fought well in the battles and took care of the Hero. I am truely grateful for all you have done. And you were the first to come to my rescue
in the battle to get me back." she said gracefully

Eclair: "No, I-I..."

Millhi gently placed her hand on Eclairs head.

Millhi: "Thank you, Eclair." she said kindly

Eclair: "You're too generous.." she said a little shy

Cinque then spoke

Cinque: "Look at Eclair, she's in heaven." he said in surprise

Ricotta: "Princess Millefiore is a genius at pettings heads." she said

Yukikaze: "She can make anyone feel happy." she added on

Ricotta: "And so before you knew it, several days had gone by since the Hero arrived in Flonyard." she narrated

Cinque's POV

Cinque and Rico went to the kitchen where everyone was working. One of the chefs noticed them come into the kitchen.

Chef: "Oh, Ricotta and the Hero, welcome!" she greeted
