Chapter 5: Fierce Battle at Mion Fortress!

Previously on Dog Days

Eclair: "Thanks to the stupid Hero, we're in the middle of a battle to rescue our princess. The battle at the fortress is becoming chaotic with General Godwin, Countess Dalkian, Yuki, and Rico getting involved. I have my hands full dealing with Genoise! Hero! Hurry up and save the Princess!" She ordered

Cinque's POV

Cinque and Gaul continued to clash their weapons at each other, missing, dodging, and blocking every attack while they were still on their cellkulls. Cinque and Gaul backed away from each other from another attack. Gaul then smirked

Cinque: "I'm taking the Princess back!" he said determinedly

Gaul: "Try if you can!" he replied back

They both charged each other again and slammed their weapons together

Eclair's POV

Eclair continued to battle the three Genoise members

Jaune: "Take this!" she said bringing her axe down

Eclair jumped out of the way

Jaune: "Nior" she called out

Nior jumped up and released small black shurikens at Eclair. Eclair managed to dodge them all.

Nior: "Vert!" she called out

Vert drew her bow with her seal in action and got ready to fire.

Vert "Yes!" she exclaimed and fired the arrow

Eclair saw the arrow coming at her and crossed her daggers to block the attack. She then released the arrow to let it go past her which damaged the wall behind her. She looked up to see Genoise with their weapons ready. Eclair had started to run out of breath.

Eclair(In thought): "Prince Gaul's... Genoise... Basically, those three are dumb airheads, but when it comes to fighting, they're pretty good." she thought to herself

Cinque's POV

The battle between Cinque and Gaul continued on, both weapons clashing together, the sound of steel against steel was heard over and over again. Neither of them gaining the upper hand on each other. Gaul and Cinque backed away, but then their weapons broke from the stress they were taking.

Gaul: "Not bad." he said with a smirk

He then threw his weapon away

Gaul: "Good enough to have an audience." he said in sinister tone

He jumped off of his cellkull

Gaul: "But I'd like to see you do something more flashy. Our battles need to be a performance after all." he said

Gaul then summoned three seals, one behind him, and one on each hand.

Gaul: "Strength, brilliance, and dynamism! These are essential to all knights and warriors! And the power you need, is this shining power!" he said and then summoned blue claws on his hands and feet with his seal

Gaul: "Releasing shining power! Shishioh Soga!" he shouted then charged at Cinque

Cinque crossed the broken pieces of his staff together to block Gaul's attack. Gaul kicked Cinque off his cellkull and continued to release a flurry of attacks onto Cinque.

Gaul: "Tenrai!" he released an seal cannon spell and made Cinque go flying which stunned Cinque

Gaul took the opportunity to try and defeat Cinque. He jumped up to attack him, only to fly past Cinque but managed to break one of Cinque forearm guards. Gaul summoned a seal in the roof to jump down and kick Cinque to the ground.
