I stood frozen in shock with Felix right behind me. We must have made a mistake somewhere along the way. We were always careful to make sure that we weren't travelling on another pack's land. It was best for us to live under the radar of other packs, but I guess that didn't work out so well.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I really don't think it is a matter of what I want. You have trespassed onto my land. My pack doesn't do too well with visitors."

"I guess it's a good thing we weren't planning on staying. I apologize for being on your land. We were not aware that it had been spoken for."

"Alpha?" Harlow whispered as the men holding him drew him in tighter.

"Alpha did he say? Another offense to be added to your list. You should know that it is not your right to claim a title that never belonged to you. I will be sure to keep note of that for your trial"

"It won't come to a trial. We are leaving."

"Ah ah ah. Not so fast. Just because you are using a title you don't deserve doesn't mean that you get to be making orders."

"Our time here is up I see." I stepped closer to the strange man. I looked directly into his eyes and spoke "You will let the boy go. Then the three of us will leave your territory. You will not come after us. You will let us leave."

The man's eyes stayed locked with mine a she said "Men. Release the boy. They were just on their way out."

With wide eyes his men dropped Harlow's arms. Harlow gave them a look of superiority and said "Remember who you are messing with. We always win" he snickered.

"Harlow that's enough. We are going" Felix called.

"Pity I couldn't show you my moves. There is always next time. Ciao boys."

The men slowly walked back the way that they came with the strange man leading the way.

"Harlow!" I hissed. "What the hell were you doing? What would have happened if I couldn't have gotten you out of that?"

Gathering his stuff into his backpack he said "well I guess it is a good thing that you could. I was just chopping down the wood like you told me to when they came. I barely heard them come before they were already on me."

I let out a deep breath. That was too close for comfort. We needed to get out of here as fast as we could. It wasn't worth waiting around for a repeat.

Felix said "I guess we have some more answers."

I questioningly looked over at him, confused at what he was talking about.

"That guy was clearly a werewolf and you were able to compel him. Maybe it is a pack thing where you can't compel anyone in your pack."

"Maybe, but I would rather not have to try it out again" I responded.

Felix nodded before packing up the rest of our things as I kept watch. I don't know who that strange man was, but I don't think his superiors would appreciate him letting trespassers go.

Alpha Kylo's POV

I was sitting at my desk surrounded by a mountain of paperwork that needed to be done. I let out a deep breath and ran my fingers through my hair as I looked at my to do list. It seemed like the workload never slowed down, but it had always been like this. If I wanted things done right I would do them myself. There was little room for error in the pack as big as Blood Moon. I kept a tight ship and I was not prepared to let someone else mess that up.
