Most people's stories end after they take their last breaths, but hers did not. Her story began as the last warm breath left her parted lips and her bright, hazel eyes lost their shine. She traveled through the lonely darkness, searching for even the smallest of light to wrap her fingers around and cling on to.
His story began long before hers. He was an angel with beautiful wings sprouting out of his back. His heroic story ended the day the two met and another one began. He gave up everything and smeared the beautifully written words upon his pages.
The day they met, two stories came together to form a twisted tale. The girl wrapped her dark fingers around the angel and tainted his mind. He gave into the temptation and gave up his wings to be with his mistress of death. They spent centuries together, refusing to separate. Nothing could pull them apart, or that's what they thought. The girl learned how to love and gave the boy her trust. She would follow him till the ends of earth and believe every word that left his lips, but alas the trust was broken.
The boy had bent and twisted the girl's trust until it was too weak to fight back and simply snapped. The girl returned to her sheltered self, but this time there was a hint of heartbreak and pain in her dull eyes.
The boy fights and does the best he can to try and mend the broken bond, but the damage had already been done. Maybe one day the broken girl can be fixed, but the question is... How hard is the male willing to try? How important is the trust of the girl?
The answer is "Not important enough." The two grow apart, their unbreakable bond finally broken. The two stories that were once growing together took different paths.
The boy gives up on mending the broken pieces and moves on, inviting a new dark soul to his story, forgetting about the previous. He erases her words from his pages and adds new.
The girl longed for his gently words, but slowly she moved on. His words remained in her pages, yet she never looked back upon them.
Her story ended the day she realized the tragic truth that all good things must come to an end. The girl has learned to accept this and has acted upon it, but the boy doesn't know what her plans are. He doesn't know how truly broken and tired the girl is. He doesn't know that this is the last chapter in her book.
He never will.
