Chapter 48 - Last Day

June

When I woke up and saw the sun shining inside my room I realized that today was my last full day in California. Time has gone by really fast I felt like yesterday that I had prom and tomorrow I was already leaving. I had a lot of things to do though. I had to pack and to meet my friends for the last time. Hard to believe that it was the last day with them.

When I finished doing everything I did every morning and after I was done with breakfast I went back into my room and took my suitcase. It was time for me to pack my things. I walked into my closet and laid my suitcase on the ground after I opened it. I looked around my closet and sighed. On times like this I hated having so much clothes. And then you say you have no clothes to wear when you are looking for something to wear.

Anyway I began looking for clothes I would need for sure. I was not planning to take all my clothes with me. All the clothes I picked I folded neetly and put them into my closet. After my first suitcase was full I took a second one and did exactly the same thing. After most of the clothes were in the both of my suitcases Two hours later I sighed in relief of being done and left the suitcases on the ground.

I went to my room and took my phone that I had left on my bed to see that I had two missed calls from Stella and one text from her.

From Stella

To Julie

I don't know what you are doing or where you left your phone but I just wanna tell you that I'm coming over to at 6. Better be home if you're not I'm gonna find you xxx

I shook my head and laughed. Typical Stella. I typed a message back and send it.

From Julie

To Stella

I think I should hide now. Just kidding I am home and I ain't going nowhere see you then babygirl xxx

Since my mother was coming home in a few hours tidy up my room and to pack things that I would need.

Around 6PM the door bell rand and Stella arrived just as she said she would. I opened the door and hugged her. I asked her to come in and we both walked up the stairs. When we were about to enter my room she told me that she had forgotten her phone in her car and that she wanted to go and get it. I nodded and she walked the stairs back down and I sat on my bed and waited for her to come back.

She came back 5 minutes and sat next to me on the bed. She typed a message and after she send it she looked at me. "Are you excited about tomorrow?"

I nodded, "very. It's still unreal to me that I'm really going."

"Yeah you are leaving me alone here."

"Stop saying that. You're making me feel bad," I pouted.

"You know I'm just kidding. I'm excited for you too. I know you'll be far away from me and you'll leave me here with those idiots but I'm happy for you. I know you'll do great sweetie," she said and hugged me.

Oh how I was going to miss her. My friendship with Stella was strongest out of all the friendships I had with the people around here. She was the besteat best friend I could ever ask for. She accepted me the first day I arrived here and since then she has been nothing but a good friend to me. She was always there for me when I needed her and she always gave me the best advice. Stella never judged me for who I am or what I did and that's what I loved the most about her. I would definitely miss her weird comments then and there and when she was acting all stupid. I would also miss when she was totally worried about me and would call me and tell me off on the for because I didn't answer any calls and when he spammed my inbox with messages. Stella was simply the best friend everyone would want and I was so sad to leave her here.
