Chapter 12 – Midnight Serenade
---Alison’s POV--- (I’ve done this a lot, haven’t I?)
“It all looks perfect!” Cindy exclaimed. “You guys did great!”
Liam and I smiled. One of her staff whispered something in her ear that made her yell.
“WHAT?” She yelled. “My model is sick!” She explained. “How can I find a replacement now?” She said as she sat down on a chair. A tall red haired girl, who looked like she was in her early 20’s, walked over to us.
“Oh, Hello Cindy darling! I’ve heard that your model is sick. Too bad!” The woman said. I was guessing she was Stella Decker.
“Who said that? I do have a model!” Cindy said proudly, standing up. “This is she.”
I gaped. She was gesturing to me. No! I can’t! I have a bit of stage fright. Stella snorted.
“Good Luck with that!” She sneered and walked away.
“What do you say Allie?” Cindy said, turning to me
“That’s an awesome idea! Your tall enough and the outfits could fit you.” Liam told me.
“Liam, I have stage fright remember?” Alison whispered. He already knew this, but I guess he ignore me because he said:
“You’ll do great!” Liam whispered back.
“Liam’s right. C’mon Alison. It’s hair and Makeup time!” Cindy pulled me to the hair and makeup station. I mouthed ‘Help me!’ to Liam. He just laughed and went to find a seat in the audience.
A few minutes later, I was already on the stage, my hair was fixed and I had makeup on. I was frightened but tried to be confident. I got a glimpse of Liam in the front row. He shot me two thumbs up. That made me more confident and I strutted down the cat walk. Cameras flashed and the audience applauded. I went backstage again and reappeared wearing a light green blouse under a white blazer, blue green capris and a blue green necklace. A few more outfits and a few minutes later, Cindy got on stage with me.
“Give a warm welcome to Cindy de Beaufort, everybody!” An announcer said.
“Thank you! I hope all of you liked my collection. It wouldn’t have been completed if it weren’t for my friend, Alison Swift, here. Again, thank you everybody for coming!” Cindy said. I blushed then they got off stage.
“You did great!” Cindy said as she hugged me.
“Your designs were great!” I replied. We laughed and exchanged numbers.
“Call if you have a fashion emergency, love!” Cindy said as she walked over to a group of reporters. I smiled and turned around to see Liam holding a small bouquet of flowers.
“You were awesome up there, love!” Liam said as he gave me the flowers.
“Thanks!” I blushed slightly. The flowers were amazing! Lilies were my favorite.
“We need to get a photo. You will never forget this day.” Liam said as he took his phone and angled it for the shot.
“I probably won’t.” I said as I smiled for the camera. This was the best day ever!
We arrived back when the sun was starting to go down. Liam unlocked the door and we went to the living room. I saw Louis smirking again as we entered.
“You guys look like you came from a date.” He said smirking. I felt my cheeks blush again.
“We went to a fashion show, Lou. Not a date.” Liam said, simply. My heart sunk a bit. To me, it felt like a date. Then he told me he was going to change. I nodded and sat down next to Zayn.
