Military Love

Chapter 6

We get to the house and the outside is absolutely beautiful! It's on a farm and that couldn't make me happier! I haven't even seen the inside yet but I'm loving it already. 

"Babe, this is beautiful!" I tell Dalton jumping out of the truck. "You haven't even seen the inside yet honey." He says grabbing my hand as we start to walk up to the front door

We get to the front door and he grabs the key out of the mailbox. We walk inside and my jaw drops. This is it, this is going to be my forever home. This is my dream house. 

"Dalton." He looks at me and just smiles. "Sweetie there's a lot more to see trust me." He says leading me around the house.

After looking at the inside of the house Dalton leads me to the backyard. It's huge! There's a nice patio with a pool and a hot tub, plenty of room for Bella to run around. 

"I love it so much!" I tell Dalton looking up at him. "It's ours if we want it we just have to go sign the papers." Oh my gosh, I can't believe this is happening! 

"Are you sure we can afford it?" I ask, I'm still in college and yes I make a lot but this house can't be cheap.

"Babe, I have enough saved up to pay in full, I don't want you to worry about it." Dalton says wrapping his arms around me. 

"Babe, I don't want you to use your entire savings on this, I want to do it together." 

"Maddie, it's not even half of my entire savings. We are doing this together, if this is the one you want then let's go sign the papers, now!" 

I jump on Dalton wrapping my legs around his waist. "I love you so much Dalton Joseph West." 

"I love you too Madelyn Ava Grace Wild." He says kissing me

When we get back to my house my parents are there sitting in the living room watching TV with Ajay. 

"Mom, Dad, we have something to tell you." I say sitting down on the loveseat.  My dad mutes the TV so we can talk. 

"We bought a house!" I say super excited, hoping they will be too. 

"You got?!? Isn't it just beautiful honey! I knew you'd love it!" My mom says smiling

"How'd you know about it?" I ask, "Did you really think I'd go through this without your parent's permission?" Dalton says holding my hand 

Ajay gets up and walks out of the room clearly still upset about earlier. 

"I wonder what his deal is." My dad says unmuting the TV and leaning back into the couch.

"I'll be right back." I tell Dalton going upstairs to talk to Ajay. 

"Ajay, can we talk please?" I ask knocking on his door. 

"I guess." He says opening his door and walking back over to his bed. 

"Listen, Ajay, I know you don't like the idea of us being together and moving in together but we love each other and you're gonna have to be okay with it eventually." 

"No Madelyn I don't! I don't have to be okay with one of my friends moving in with my sister and I certainly don't have to be okay with him fucking my baby sister!" Ajay says walking out of the room.
