It's Winter now and I'm still the same. I think I'm getting worse over time. Screw the saying "Time heals all wounds" cause it's wrong. I not only think about cutting, but now I think about dying. Wouldn't it be better if I just stopped suffering and went to my brother? But then I remember Aunt Cass. I couldn't be that cruel to her. Or my friends. So I'm just stuck. I'm in a web of depression, but there's no spider so there's no end to my suffering. What else is there left to believe in?
Jack's POV:
I began doing my work as the Winter bringer, giving everyone a snow day at Winter time. But as I did so, I carefully watched Hiro. The only way I could make it seem logical when I reach out to him was to wait until Winter time came.
His condition only got worse. He still stares at a razor, but recently he actually brought it up to his arm. He didn't cut. He just..sat there. Shaking. He's strong, fighting something like that inside him. He may not know it, but he is.
I saw Hiro get walked out of the cafe by his Aunt. He's all bundled up in cloth to keep warm, ready to go to the college this morning.
It took me a while to find out that this 14 year old is in college. He's extremely brilliant.
I lower myself to them a little to hear the conversation.
His Aunt said, "So Jack Frost decided to go all out this year, huh?" I flinched. This is it. My chance is coming soon.
"C'mon Aunt Cass. Really?" Hiro said, "I'm too old for that." She ruffles his hair. "No one's too old for a little smile," she said softly. Hiro just looked at her giving her a thank you smile and they said their goodbyes for the day.
I smiled a bit. Him saying he's too old didn't phase me much. I'm used to that. But I smiled because the genuine smile he gave her made me happy. There's light still inside him. I guess the right person has to show it to him.
Acting now wouldn't hurt, would it?
His friends were waiting for him outside the Institute. Before he got close to them I made a snowball and blew on it, covering it with my fun frost no one can resist. I waited for them to tell him "hello" before chunking it at his head. A few of his friends turned to see who threw it then looking back at Hiro who now had a snowball in his hand. He smiled and said, "Fite me."
I threw another one to the one who looked most like she wouldn't participate in something as "silly" as a snowball fight. The girl with the dark hair and highlights, dark clothes, and bubble gum. She was about to get mad, but she couldn't seem to control that as she smiled as well. I grinned evilly at the fact that some people try to be sour in a time of fun. Not while I'm around!
The girl pummeled Hiro with a snowball to the face. They all kinda snickered. I threw another at the black guy and the others picked up a snowball on their own.
I smiled as I watched them have fun. It's the one thing that makes me truly happy.
Hiro's POV:
I don't know what got into me back there. Ever since Tadashi, I always thought getting a snowball thrown at me, or something of that nature, was me getting made fun of. But an emotion I haven't felt in a long time took over me. Fun.
But I was in the Institute now. Can't have snowball fights in here. After all, I was here to attend.

When I came back home, I saw my computer on with a search in Google. The search bar said "Jack Frost lore." I was about to exit it out, thinking it might've been Aunt Cass on my computer again, but then I became curious. I clicked on the first thing and began to read.
Jack's POV:
I had just closed the window behind me when Hiro entered his room. I watched as he actually went along with the search. I smiled again before whispering to myself, "Tomorrow is another day."
