Hiro's POV:
I wake up and prepare myself for the day only to realize there's no school today. Great, so I'll do the usual. I'll stare outside my window.
Ever since Tadashi died, I decided to honor his wishes by not bot fighting anymore. So I literally have nothing to do today.
I get to the window and rest myself in front of it and I sigh and think to myself, "Is there anyone out there that I'd want to talk to like I talked to Tadashi?"
My depression consumes me and I stare out the window until nightfall.
Jack's POV:
I was face to face with Hiro. Only, the window was in between us. I stared into his sad eyes as he was literally looking through me. I whispered, "If you believed in me then maybe I could permanently turn that frown upside down."
I placed my hand on the window, smiling softly while doing so. He recoiled back as he noticed the frost curling and spiraling across his window. That was unintentional yet also intentional. So I got an idea. I could use this. I flew in the cafe and to his room not to freak him out with the window. I decided to make it snow. Poof. There it was. Raining almost infinitely from the ceiling. He had no expression other than shock.
"I-I-Is someone there?" He stuttered out. Probably scared out of his mind. Then I had a new idea. I formed a bed of flowers that circled around him made of glistening ice. He sat down and touched some, amazed.
I felt my heart pound. I screamed in my head, "Stop it, heart!"
"Wait," he whispered, "Gaaahhh, what did she say? Was it... was it..." I smiled and teared up in excitement. Then he finally said it: "Jack Frost."
"Yes! Yes, that's it! Say it again!" I yelled out on instinct. He picked and ice flower and stared at it. He smiled and said, "Jack Frost."
He looked up and got snow on his face, smiling real big with his eyes closed. "Jack Frost," he said one last time. Now was my chance.
"Hiro?" I said quietly, careful not to frighten him. He looked at me, unfrightened. It was more like he stared at me intently. He finally said, "Am I hallucinating?" I laughed softly. "No, Hiro. You said my name. You made me finally visible to your eyes. You believed in me." He poked my cheek as if to see if I was real. "Jack Frost?" He said again. I was filled with joy. "Yes," I said while laughing softly again.
Hiro's POV:
The snow was a beautiful bright blue unlike real snow. The ice flowers as well. I just couldn't seem to figure out how Jack Frost is real and turning my room into Frozen. Yet there he stood in front of me, throwing all reason out the window. How was this possible?
He has a dark blue hoodie with some frost glistening in the light, brown skinny jeans, and a wooden staff that had frost on it as well, but only where his hand was. His hair is like mine just a little shorter and pure white which also glistened with the slightest frost, his eyes were a bright blue like the ice he created, and his skin was smooth and pale.
He looked so young. And quite handsome. There's no denying it. He is quite handsome.
He also raised a lot of questions. But before I could ask any of them, he answered one. "That was me who threw the first snowball at you the other day!" He exclaimed, beaming.
I don't know what to make of this. I just stared blankly. "Alright I'll explain," He said as he sat on my bed cross legged like a child.
I listened as he talked about him being a Guardian, watching over children. He told the story of his sister and how he became a Guardian. At this point I was looking at him like he was crazy. "Sounds far fetched, I know," He said, reading my expression, "but how else do you explain this snow and the flowers at your feet? Or how I magically appeared right in front of you?" He grinned after that last part.
He makes a good point. But I'm literally still thinking I'm dreaming or going insane. "And no," He starts again, "It's not a dream, you're not insane, and no, I cannot read your mind." He said that like he's been through this a million times.
He stands in front of me. "This is real and I can prove it," He said before holding out his hand to me. I really want to believe there's a lot more to life, so why not give this a shot?
I hesitantly take his hand and he takes me outside the cafe. We stop and he says, "Hold on."
