Complications (Part 1/2)

It hadn't escaped Fuyuka's knowledge of her fiance's infidelity but she couldn't blame the girl either knowing that it was her fault that the girl is like that. In the first place, it was an arranged marriage with her one-sided love for the girl that had brought the pain upon her. Breaking off the marriage after all of her family's effort to give her happiness, will cause not only her but the Saito family as well to lose face in public. "It's not an option," her father told her back then when he approved Neru as her future daughter-in-law. Thus she decided to ask her parent's help to push the wedding's date earlier. Her parents were quite reluctant at first but with seeing their daughter distraught for some unknown reason they decided to take her suggestion into account and will talk it with the Nagahama family as soon as possible. In Fuyuka's mind, if they continue to wait for Neru to be ready to marry her, that time will never come. She had seen how Neru would look at Techi, it was the very same look the girl had for her back when they were younger, back when the girl still likes her. But with Techi coming into the picture, she needs to do something. She can't lose Neru. She can't afford to lose Neru.

Yurina, or should we say, Techi, as she had adapted her nickname as her name, had been in and out of the Nagahama estate for quite sometime now. The two lovers had been seeing each other behind Fuyuka's back. Of course, the butlers and maids of the Nagahamas had been in allegiance of their young heiress and would always tell Fuyuka whenever she asks that they hadn't seen the young Shida visit their mistress. Neru had seen Fuyuka's jealousy after the engagement party. Fuyuka would've lashed out at Neru, but Neru paid her no heed. With that, Neru made it sure that not a word of her secret meetings with the young Shida gets out; be it with Fuyuka, her parents and even her friends.

The couple by now are in the study, reading books. It was Neru's favorite past time, she couldn't be any happier right now sitting in the study, an open book in her hand while Techi's head lays on her lap as the latter is reading The Tale of Genji. She scoffs at the memory of Yurina reading the same book back then. When she saw Techi picked the book from the shelf earlier, she couldn't help but see Yurina in Techi. Out of her curiosity she asked Techi why would she want to read that particular book to which Techi answered, "I find it intriguing, like.. How should I put this. Hhmmnn~ like how he was able to maintain a dignified life despite the ups and downs."

Neru eyes the book Techi was holding, she was very sure that the book is more about the different relationship the main character had with various women. But somehow, Techi was not just focused on that but had been fascinated at how the main character is living his life, "That's too deep for me to understand." She replied to which she earns a giggle from the girl laying on her lap. She really sees Yurina in Techi.

She was brought back to reality when she felt the book in her hands yanked away. It was then that she realized that Techi was now sitting on her lap, facing her, their face close enough that she can feel Techi's breath on her. She unconsciously gulps as she stares deep into Techi's dark brown orbs. Techi closed the gap between them, connecting their lips in a sweet and sensual kiss. Neru drapes her arms over Techi's neck, pulling the young girl closer to her in neediness. Techi pins her down onto the couch, the books they were reading had fallen onto the floor, which are now long forgotten. Techi brushes her tongue against Neru's lower lip to which the latter responded with a moan, allowing the former to slip her tongue in, deepening the kiss, as she plays with her lovers tongue.

They had shared kisses before, but it had never been this intense for Neru. She was glad that they had the study for themselves and no one's gonna walk in on them.

When Techi finally pulled away, gasping for air, Neru had found herself wanting for more. But Techi had already separated herself from her lover, realizing how bold she had been with her actions. She indeed wanted more, to take it further than the heated kiss they shared, but guilt has gnawed at her as soon as she spots the ring on Neru's finger reminding her that Neru is engaged with Fuyuka and the girl is cheating her fiance.

"I think, we should call it a day." Techi says without even glancing at Neru. She is scared that if she lets herself get lost again in those tantalizing eyes, she wouldn't be able to control herself anymore.

Neru, had seen how Techi eyed the ring on her finger, so she sat up and hugged her lover tightly. Techi was taken aback by her lover's action, but didn't rejected it.

"Let's stay this way, a little longer." Neru had finally said.

"S-sure.." Techi replied softly, turning around to face her lover as she wraps her in a hug.

Unbeknownst to the two lovers, a certain Saito Fuyuka had accidentally walked into the library, a bouquet of flowers in her hand. She wanted to surprise her fiancee but turns out, she had been the one who was surprised by the sight. She was already told by a servant that Neru doesn't want to be disturbed but had stubbornly sneaked in anyway. But instead of announcing her presence, she chose to walk away silently with a heavy heart.

"I'm sorry Neru, but I had to do this." Fuyuka mumbled to herself as she left the Nagahama estate.
