Unexpected Love

•Chapter Nine•

They finally arrived at the warehouse they had the guy tied up in ropes. Nick walked inside without saying a word, he punched the guy in the face. "I told you not to fuck me over again but you did" he said before hitting him again.

The guy groan a little, trickled of blood came down his eyebrow. He looked up at Nik. "I swear, I didn't do anything" he said looking at Phoenix and Nick.

Nick ran his fingers through his hair, he was getting more annoyed. "Stop lying, I know exactly what you did so you might as well tell the truth or die" Nik said. He soon pulled out a gun from the back of his shorts. He pulled it up and cocked it back.

The guy shook his head, he looked at the others for helps but they weren't having it. He turned his attention back towards Nick. "I swear man, on my kids" he said.

"I'm sorry" Nik pointed the gun at the man's head. He thought about pulling the trigger but once he heard about the man's family, he just couldn't do it. He pulled it back, then placed it behind him. "Lock in in the freezer, until he confess" Nik said before walking away.

Phoenix nodded his head, he grabbed the guy and headed towards the freezer with him. Once he was done with that he headed back towards Nick's office. "You alright man?" he questioned sitting down.

He let out a sigh then put down his pen, looking up at Phoenix. "Like I said before, I'm fine" he said. "Let's just drop it" Nick added.

"Well if you're so over it, let's go hit up the strip club" Phoenix replied.

"Nah, I gotta go see of the girls are good" Nick replied as he stood up. "Mykia loves to sneak out, last night I had caught her" he added with a chuckle.

Phoenix laughed a little bit, as he shook his head. "She's gonna be the death of you one day" he chuckled.

"Yeh, nearly giving me a heart attack" Nick said. "I'll see you later tho" he added before heading out the door.

After a few minutes he arrived at his apartment, he opened the door and walked inside to see Mykie and Ell sitting on the sofa eating popcorn while watching Cinderella. "Hey, I'm home" he said.

Ell looked ovee at Nik but didn't say anything, she was still a little upset with him for leaving Miya. She turned her attention back towards the television.

Nik grunted before heading towards the kitchen, he opened up the fridge taking out a beer. He popped it opened and took a sip. Nik sighed then sat down at the table, he was a bit stressed out.

"You know she's still mad at you" Mykie said standing in the doorway. "She misses Miya, I mean I didn't know the girl but she was alright and besides I'm kinda sick of seekng you mope around here" she shrugged.

"I know but I can't get back with her" Nik took another sip of the beer. "It's too dangerous, I can't let anyone get hurt especially you and Ell" he said.

"I understand but..." she was about to say something but Nick stopped her.

"I don't want to heat it, I'm gonna take a shower and relax" Nik said as he walked out the kitchen. He glanced over to see Ell still sitting on the sofa. He sighed as he went into his room.

As Nick took a shower and Mykie was on the phone in the kitchen with some friend, Ell had decided to leave the house.

Ell made her way down the apartment building stairs, there were a couple people standing around. She went outside there was a cab waiting for her. The cold wind came through, whiched caused chills to shiver down her spine. She glanced over to see that girl Amber staring her down but she didn't even care. She climbed inside and told the cab driver where to take her. The driver nodded and began to drive, Ell sat back in the seat and looked out the window.

When Nick was finally out the shower, he got dress then headed put his room. "Ell!" he called out. "It's time for bed" Nick walked inside the living room but she wasn't there. He frowned a little then headed towards the room. "Is Ell in here?" he asked.

"No, she was in the living roon watching TV" Mykia said getting off the bed. When she walked out Ell wasn't there. "Where is she?" she tried not to freak out.

"Fuck.." Nick ran outside to see if she was there but she wasn't. He looked over to see Mykia coming out.

"She stole your phone too" Mykie said. "I tried calling it but she didn't pick up" she added. Soon her phon ding, it was a message from Nick's phone. Mykie frowned a little bit. "She says she's fine, went to see a friend" Mykie said.

Nick groaned knowing whos she actually went to go see. "We need to go now" Nick said before walking back isnide to get his car keys.
