Unexpected Love

•Chapter Twenty-Six•

The sound of monitors filled the bright hospital room, she could hear talking but it wasn't close. She slowly began to open up her eyes, her head pained. She closed her eyes slightly because of how bright the room was, she soon opened them once again. Miya could still hear the voices, she turned her head slightly to see Reece, Nick and what she assumed to be the doctor.

Reece quickly noticed she was awake, he must have said something because the docor along with Nick turned their heads. The doctor had said something before proceeding inside the room. "How are you feeling Miya?" he asked.

"I bit sick but other than that I'm fine" Miya replied. She glanced out the glass widow before turning her attention back towards the doctor. "Is everything alright with me?" she questioned.

The doctor began to check Miya's vital signs. To answer her question he nodded his head. "You both are perfectly fine" he replied.

Confusion came unpon Miya's face, she shook her head. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"Oh I'm sorry, you must've not known" he chuckled. "You're pregnant" he said. He wrote some things down on his notepad. "So you need to geg plenty of rest, prenatal pills soon as you leave here" he looked at her.

She didn't actually hear what he said because she was spaced out, she was pregnant. She simply nodded her head. His words continued to play in her mind over and over. She glanced out the window to see Nick standing there, she didn't know how she was going to tell him. What would his reaction be? A baby...

The doctor had spoke again "I'll have the nurse discharge you" he said. "Congratulations on the new baby" he said before walking out the room. He walked up to the front placing the board down.

Once he left Miya laid back watching Nick and Reece go back and fourth, she wondered what they were saying. She soon spotted the nurse coming in, she walked over to Miya with a big smile. Miya didn't understand why she was smiling so hard, nothing joyful about waking up in a hospital.

The nurse took the IV out, the placed a red band aid on her. She put some papers in front of Miya so she could sign. Once all that was done she wished Miya luck then left the room.

Miya got up going towards the bathroom, she did a quick change then grabbed her papers before walking out the room door. When she was out there Reece and Nick stopped talking, they looked at her. "What?" she asked.

"Nothing" Nick did a side glance to Reece before turning his attention back to her. "What did the doctor say?" he asked. He knew about the baby, that's what Reece and himself were fighting about. Reece wanted Nick to bring it up but he didn't want to. He wanted Miya to be comfortable telling him when she was time, he would support her no matter what.

"It's a virus" Miya lied. She didn't know why she had to lie to them about this, they were bound to find out soon. "I need to go to Wal-Mart to buy some stuff" she said.

"I'll take you" Nick said. He walked over to her, placed his hand into hers lacing their fingers. "Reece we'll meet you back at the house, make sure you tell Mykie and Ell she's alright" Nick said.

Reece nodded his head then walked away.

Nick and Miya soon left the hospital after Reece, thet drove in silence. It was awkward more like peaceful. They soon arrived at the store, Nick was going to get out but Miya stopped him. "I'll be fine" she said. She got out the car and headed inside.

Few minutes passed Miya came out with a cart full of things. It was because she wanted to hide the pregnancy books and pills from Nick.

"I thought you just needed one thing?" he started to place bags inside the car.

"Nope, never need one thing" Miya got inside the car.

Once Nick was done he got inside the car, he began to drive him. This time the ride wasn't silent. "I was thinking about buying a home for us and the girls" Nick said. He glanced over at Miya before turning his eyes back on the road. "I seen one not far from Reece, it's at my price range. We could go check it out after the holidays. She said she'll hold it off until then" he suggested. 

Miya smiled a little, she looked over at Nick. She felt happy in that moment just a little, she had a wonderful man. He was buying a house for them, she was having his baby. So why wasn't she over excited about it all? This was literally every women's dream. "I would love to" she said.

They finally arrived at the house, Nick was going to help Miya out but she insisted she could get out on her own. Once she got out and headed towards the door. Ell came running out, she wrapped her small arms around Miya. "I missed you" she said.

"Ell be careful please, Miya just got out the hospital" Nick called out. He started to make his way inside the house.

"Sh Nick" Miya said. She leaned down giving Ell a hug. "I missed you too" she let go and grabbed Ell's hand taking her inside.

"I'm happy you're okay" Mykie looked over at Miya.

"Me too" she said. She was tired and hungry, all she wanted to do was lay in bed watching some ghost haunting shows. "Ell, I'm going to shower and then watch some ghost haunting shows. I want you to join me" she said. "You can too Mykie" Miya looked at her.

"I'd like to" Mykie smiled. She had never hung out with Ell and Miya on their movie nights before. She had thought it was a bit corny but come to thing of it. It seemed awesome since she didn't have many friends plus this could be her chance to bring up the witch thing.

After Miya was finished she invited Ell and Mykie up to her room, they had pizza, bunch of snack, drinks. Ell crashed after a few minutes of the show starting so it was Miya and Mykie.

"Can I ask you something Miya?" Mykie looked over at her.

"Of course" Miya turned her attention away from the television. "Anything" she said.

"Are you a witch?" Mykie simply asked.

Miya was shocked by this question. How did Mykie know about that? Did she see when Miya used her powers on that guy? She tried not to panic, she shrugged it off. "I don't know what you're talking about" she said.

Mykie knew she was lying, so she lied as well. "I seen you use them" Mykie said. "That man being thrown against the tree" she added.

Miya stomach flipped and it wasn't the baby. "Yes, I'm a witch but please don't tell anyone" she said. "I don't even know how those people knew" she added.

"I don't know either but I promise your secret is safe with me" Mykie said.

"Thank you" Miya said.

They both turned their attention back towards the show, they watched it until they fell asleep.
