Yoongi...
Yoongi...
He pulls back from the embrace.
There, in his arms, was the corpse of his love. Blood oozed from his mouth, nose and eyes. Eyes empty and dead, striped from life. His skin deathly pale as his body began to shut down. Though he couldn't speak, the ghostly whispers swirled around Yoongi. Clouding his mind and adding heavy loads onto his chest.
"why didn't you save me?"
Those words were like knives that plunged right through his heart.
"You killed me."
"You lied to me."
"I hate you." His voice bitter and cold, devoid of emotion.
Yoongi covered his ears, squeezed his eyes shut and silently pleaded for forgiveness but he just continued to taunt him.
"Stop! Please I didn't mean it!" Yoongi beg, voice beginning to crack.
Then, the voice whispered softly into his ears saying,
"You are a failure."
That was what pushed him over the edge and into madness. Yoongi didn't do anything to deserve this, he tried his best. Why should he be punished?
With tears streaming down his face he stood up and bellowed, "I AM INNOCENT!"
Silence.
He looked around.
He was no longer on top of the rooftop, but in a hall of some sort.
The halls were like that of a church.
High ceilings, grand wooden doors were locked, hiding years worth of secrets.
Chandeliers were hung in the air, each crystal carved to perfection. They glistened in the brilliance of the holy light, creating a beautiful display of light. There were stained glass panes depicting tales and legends of old, some quite familiar to Yoongi.
Curiously, he stroked the marble walls. They were smooth and cold, grey and white swirling in a entrancing way.
Yoongi marveled at the patterns that were plastered on the ceiling, they were so intricate and detailed that everywhere he looked, he would find something new. They were messy but neat at the same time.
Though this place is definitely made for someone of high prestige and clearly not anybody like Yoongi, he felt welcomed.
A wave of relief washed over him, replacing all the negative emotion he had stored in him. It was relaxing, something that Yoongi needed.
He just wanted to stay there, and forget everything that was going on in his life.
"Bang!" A loud bang echoed throughout the halls.
Followed by another.
And another.
His curiousity got the better of him and decided to follow the noise down the dwindling hallway.
The noise got louder and louder as he drew near. He turned the corner to find one of the doors slightly ajar, a blinding light and a booming voice was heard.
Yoongi peered into the room, careful not to attract attention to himself.
"Order! Order in the court!" A voice shouted, silencing the entire room.
A young lady, with gigantic pearl white wings attached to her back, stood up and said, "Thank you."
"We, as the jury, unanimously find one Jung Ho Seok...guilty." She stated, arousing a gasp from the crowd.
"What?" Yoongi whispered, his eye scanned the room and there he was...
Hoseok.
A smile began to form on his face, he felt the hole in his heart fill up again. It was like finally seeing the end of the tunnel. Yoongi wanted to run up to him and give him the biggest hug he could and never leave his side.
Stay that way, forever.
Love him forever.
"Well that settles it, since He has more important things to attend to, I will decide the punishment." The judge announced.
He then pulled out a tattered and torn book, flipped to a page and read the following:
'Murder and suicide, two most deadly, despicable, vile and down right the most serious of all sins. Thy who commits such a sin shall be sentenced to an eternity of torment from the lost souls of victims and cursed to wander the thin line between Earth and Death.'
Yoongi's eyes grew to the size of saucers.
No, it's not fair!
This display of unfairness ticked him off. It wasn't Hoseok's fault!
I'm not going to make the same mistake I did.
"Objection your honor!" He burst through the doors.
The crowd gasped in horror, how dare this man interrupt a proceeding?
"A human?" The judge questioned.
"Get him out of here!"
"This is a disgrace!"
The shocked voices muttered across the room.
But Yoongi didn't care. "Your honor, this man is innocent!"
He turned to Hoseok and smiled.
He did the same.
As the two love struck couple eyefucked each other, the judge gathered his bearing and yelled, "enough of this! Begone human."
With a wave of his hands, Yoongi disappeared,
just like that.
"Wait! no-" Yoongi protested, jolting awake on his bed.
He was back, in his apartment. He punched his pillow in anger and slammed his head into in, muffling his angry cries.
I could've done something!
This went on for about 1 hour before the guilt and grief set in.
I could've done something.
He laid on his bed, motionless and with a dead look on his face. Blood short eyes from staying up all night crying. Dejected by his constant failures, the voices he heard weren't so wrong after all.
A stray beam of sunlight entered his room, signalling a new day.
Was I up all night?
Groggily, he got out of bed and dragged his feet towards the bathroom. Afterwards, he poured himself a bowl of cereal, and munched on it.
Then, the doorbell rang.
Letting out a sigh, he got up and opened the door revealing Seokjin standing there tapping his foot.
"What do you want?" He said, rubbing his eyes.
Jin look stunned to see his partner like that. "Whoa...looks like someone got out of the wrong side bed."
Yoongi looked unamused.
"Well you better get ready, we got some interviewing to do today." Jin reminded.
"Right....Jimin."
