Hoseok Focus
Jungkook had changed since the kidnapping of the love of his life- and not in the good way. He wasn't just determined to get him back, he was ready to kill anyone to get what he wanted back. He was willing to do whatever it took to get Taehyung from the Tiger Gang. Probably even die. It was really messing with the rest of us. He wouldn't eat or sleep, and after about three days, he passed out from famine and fatigue. Scared us all half to death.
"This has to end." I told Yoongi and jimin, as we sat in my dorm room. "We need to get Tae back."
"We need a plan. You got one?" Yoongi asked. He and Jimin were sitting pressed to each other, glued at the hip since the fight. They loved each other a lot and I loved the aura I got from them. Now if only I could have that. I thought. I didn't know whether I meant love itself or Yoongi.
"I have nothing. Maybe we should set up a rescue party and retrieve him. Jungkook can't come though." I said. Jimin nodded and said, "He won't go on hope for rescuing Tae, he'll go on revenge on the people who hurt him."
"We should go while he's still out, then." Yoongi said. "Before he wakes up."
I shook my head. "If we three are all going to go, who comes with us?" I asked. "And who takes care of the gang and Jungkook?" Yoongi looked down. "Maybe we do need to tell him. We'll just keep him tied down or something until we're gone. Then he can figure out how to escape his bonds and it will be too late to follow us."
"Or we destroy the tires on all the other cars but one and drive off before he can come."
"Are we really willing to go to such heights just to keep Jungkook away? I mean what's the point?" Jimin asked. "If we keep him here, what's going to change? He can't take care of the gang like this."
We all looked down, thinking about what we were going to do. At that moment, Jungkook walked in. "You guys are planning a rescue?" He asked. There were deep purple bags under his eyes and a sunken look to his face. He looked horrible. Exhausted.
His eyes still held that cold look, though. He was still filled with hatred and that was a problem he would need to solve if he wanted to come. We just stared at him blankly. What had become of our little brother? "Answer me." He said. "Are you or are you not planning to rescue Taehyung?" He asked. "If so, I don't care what you say. I am coming."
"Jungkook..." Jimin began. Jungkook turned to him, glaring. "I said I'm coming. You're not changing my mind." Yoongi sighed. "Jungkook, you can't come. Do you even realize what's happened to you?" He asked. "You're different. You can't go to the Tiger Gang like that. You'll mess something up."
"What do you mean, different? I'm just fine."
"No, you're not." Jimin said cautiously. "We can't have you going with that attitude."
"I want to find Tae."
"You can't."
"You don't understand!" Jungkook yelled, punching the doorframe. We all flinched. "What do we not understand?" I asked, my voice quiet. I was honestly kind of scared. What had happened to my boy? The hostage has done something to him and in this case, it's not good. Jungkook turned to me with a wild fire in his eyes.
"I promised to protect him. I failed. You hear me?" He asked. "I fucking failed. If I'm not the one who runs out to get him back, then what does that make me?" He walked into the room and shut the door. "If I fail to keep him safe and I send my men lazily out to rescue him. How does that prove my love? Huh?"
Yoongi wore a new glare, ready to start yelling at him. Oh no, here comes the bad Yoongi. I thought. Jimin wrapped his arm around his shoulder tightly and held his hand close, as if holding him down from it. I stood up. "Let's go talk somewhere else, okay?" I asked.
Jungkook left the room with me and we walked around the hallway with no aim. "Jungkook, no one can question your love for him. You've done everything in your power for him for the past two weeks, and I think sending us is the best you can do now." I spoke softly, not willing to provoke something even more dangerous. Jungkook didn't change his mind. "No one can question my love? I can, Hoseok. If I'm not doing my best, then I question it."
"You don't need to beat yourself up for this."
"You still don't understand!" Jungkook shouted. "I have to do this. I need to get him away from that place myself. With or without you guys. You know what they're doing to him as much as I do."
I looked down. I couldn't say anything. "Please, Hoseok." I looked back at Jungkook. His eyes changed to a different look. The cold fire was not there anymore. He looked tired, desperate. He looked like he couldn't live if he didn't have Tae. Looks like Yoongi's not the only one who's moved in from me. I thought sadly.
"I need to go." He said, looking down. "You have no idea what effect this has on me."
I looked at him for a few more seconds. He was leaning his back against the wall of the hallway, one hand carded through his hair as he looked on the verge of tears. Please don't do that. I swear if this turns out to be a little trick... "Alright." I said. "But just what would you be doing?"
Jungkook looked like he could bounce on the walls when I said it. Happiness returned to his eyes and I didn't know that saying he could come would help him more than it would be dangerous for him."I think I can talk to the leader and stall you some time."
"That would be useful. I'll tell the others."
"Promise me." He said. I looked at him. "Jungkook, I-"
"Promise me I can go!"
"F-Fine." I intertwined my pinky with his and held it for a second, looking into his eyes. "I promise I will let you come."
