GOOD-BYE

When they walked through the door Zay stopped and mouth wide, amazed.

"What happened here?" Zay asked shocked. There were papers upon papers littered across the floor steam was gushing out of a machine that located in the middle of the circular room. Max was running around throwing papers in the air, like leaves on an Autumn's day. Riley was working away on the machine, completely oblivious to Zay and his friends. Zay walked over to Riley and tapped him on the shoulder,

"Riley..."

"ZAY!" Riley screamed and yanked around, Zay jumped violently. He thrusted a device in Zay's arms and walked to his paper covered desk.

"What does this do?" Zay said looking down at the device, it looked kind of like an iPhone.

"We can talk to Askel using this, hopefully, it should work, maybe, it will..." he snatched the phone back and pressed on the screen, nothing happened except for the screen to turn completely white. Then Riley started screaming,

"Aksel you stupid, idiotic, self-centered, egotistical, heartless, little..."

"Riley calm down!" Zay said and grabbed the machine from Riley, he glanced at Riley who was now sitting in chair that Mya had carried over for him. He put the device close to his mouth. Zay spoke, "Aksel you messed stuff up here when you left. Things are changing, a LOT of things," Max ran past him throwing more paper, "....MAX STOP IT... Aksel please, whatever you are planning on doing, DON'T DO IT! People here are disappearing, they're being erased from people's minds," the machine started heating up in his hand and shake, Riley walked over.

"Zay hurry it can't handle communication through different time periods." Zay nodded

"We're coming to get you and fix everything. Askel please, don't do it.... Riley it's not... AAHHH!" Zay screamed and dropped the burning device to the ground where it shattered to a million pieces. "Uh sorry."

Riley waved it away. He looked exhausted sitting on the chair, Mya was looking at him with care and pity.

"It's almost done, I just need to connect a few wires and replace some fired circuits then it'll be ready to go," he stood up to work but then his knees gave away. Tristen and Maeve got him before he could fall. Tristen then placed him back on the chair. "There's a time capsule on my desk that I'll need to take with me, like the one you found that journal in, it's the exact same, it'll prevent the journal from being affected from the changes.

"You can't," Maeve said. "You're too tired."

"No, I have to..." Riley tried to stand but Tristen kept him down.

"Riley, Maeve's right you have to rest," Zay said. Riley sighed and leaned back. "Just tell us what to do."

At that moment Max ran past them but Zay caught him by the collar of his shirt and made him stop, but also choking him.

"HEY!" Max said rubbing his neck.

"We will all help and be CAREFUL," Zay said saying the last word slowly and mainly towards Max. Max just rolled his eyes. "Mya stay by Riley and make sure he stays ok."

"The new circuits are already built, they're on my desk, you just need to open the panel and replace them. Zay, you should know what wires to take and where to put them. If not go into the computer room, it's all in the computer," Riley instructed. Everyone nodded and then looked at Zay.

"Ok well, Max, find the circuits on the table and take them over to Tristen and Maeve, I need you two to open the panel and remove the fired circuits and replace them with the new ones. Maeve will now what to do," Maeve nodded and lead Tristen to the Time Machine to find the panel. Max turned and started rummaging through the papers on Riley's desk. "I'm going to the computer room to read the schematics."
