THE ARRIVAL

"What... How... a sister?" Zay stuttered. Tristen grabbed Mya.

"Calm down, what are you talking about?"

"TIME TRAVEL!" Mya screamed. Zay looked at Maeve, she shrugged and gave him a sorry look.

"Mya just calm down," Zay said, standing up to let her sit down. "ok yeah it's true that Aksel went back in time and is changing things."

Max dropped the food he was about to put in his mouth and Tristen just looked at him.

"Are you serious?" Max said. His eyes opened in awe. Zay nodded.

"Riley's trying to fix it," Zay said.

"TRYING? NO, he WILL fix it!" Mya cried. "I had a younger sister named Yasmin."

Thrust a paper at Zay. He caught it and read it. it was a list of the people Maeve remember. Beneath Mya the name Yasmin was written. Zay felt pity flow through him.

"I... I'm sorry," Zay said. Tristen put his arm around Mya.

"The worst part it I don't really even feel that sad. I don't remember having a sister and don't know what it would feel like to lose one," Mya said sadly and looked down. Zay watched her.

"Ok wait, so people are disappearing?" Max asked. Everyone turned to him. Maeve nodded.

"Yeah, when Aksel went back in time the Time Machine broke so Riley couldn't follow him and bring him back. He's trying to fix it," Maeve said. Zay turned to her.

"Are you telling everyone?" he asked annoyed.

"Oh, come on, it's these guys. And plus, if Max did say something like this who would believe him?" Maeve said.

"HEY!"

"I want to help," Mya said.

"Me too," Tristen said. "What can we do?"

"Write a list of people who you remember and check it every now and then to see if anything has changed," Zay said. Everyone nodded. "Then I guess after school you guys can come to VISUM labs with Maeve and me, so Riley can say what else to do."

"Ah cool! We get to go to VISUM Labs. I've ALWAYS wanted to go!" Max cried. Tristen just looked at him, "under better circumstances of course."

Zay rolled his eyes. In the distance the school bell rung signaling for students to get to class.

"Let's meet back here okay?" Zay asked, everyone nodded and turned to go to class.

Class trudged on very slowly. It was like a minute lasted an hour. The teachers voice floated in through one ear and then out the next ear. When the teacher final dismissed the class, Zay sprinted out of the class and out towards the tables and portals. He wanted to finish this, fix everything and to get Aksel back then punch him for doing this. He got to their table and saw Max and Mya already there. He sat down and looked at them, Mya seemed quiet while Max seemed excited.

"I can't wait," Max said, bouncing slightly.

"Max seriously, people are..."

"Yeah, yeah, they're disappearing, who cares. We're going to fix it," Max said cutting Zay off. Mya hit Max, so Max shuffled to be on the other side of Zay then she pointed ahead of them.

"There's Maeve and Tristen," she said. Zay looked and saw them walking towards them.

"Let's go," Tristen said as he and Maeve pulled up to them. Zay nodded and stood and lead them to the portals. He punched in a number and waited until they all had gone through. Max was so excited he tripped and knocked into Maeve and basically shoved her through the portal before he fell after her. Zay could hear a very annoyed Maeve cry his name even from through the portal, he couldn't help but laugh, neither could Tristen as he walked through with Mya. Zay glanced behind him and at the school, his eyes landed on Isabel, a girl who goes to his school, something was wrong, she seemed so pale. It seemed, to Zay, she was transparent. He watched as she grew more and more transparent, it then clicked in Zay's brain, she was disappearing. He scrambled to get a paper and pen from his bag as he quickly jotted down what he saw. He looked back up just as she disappeared, then he forgot. He stared at the stop for a moment, he felt something in his hand. He looked down and saw a rather crumpled piece of paper. His handwriting was on it, what he read filled him with disdain. It said,
