PUTTING THINGS STRAIGHT
Aksel fell and landed in the lab, "ouch," he said, grabbing his head. He looked over to his right and saw Zay looking around.
"Dude, it worked," he said to Zay. Zay didn't see his friends and frowned. Aksel looked over to see what he was looking for.
"Maeve," Zay said under his breath, he walked forwards a little, "She was still here when I went through, but I don't know what happened to her."
Aksel looked at him confused, "ready to go back? We're wasting too much time."
"We've been here for like 10 seconds just wait, I have to start it up," Zay said, he turned and started pressing buttons on the keypad, "You should know how to do this, I mean you knocked out Riley, so you could back for yourself and not consider what would happen to everyone else here."
Aksel rolled his eyes and got up from the floor, he pushed Zay out of the way and started typing.
As Zay waited, he turned and looked towards the door. He walked over and opened it. He peeked his head out and looked around, sitting on a chair her head in her hands, sat Maeve. A smile spread across Zay's face. He was about to call her name when Aksel called him. He closed the door slowly and faced the machine.
"It's ready, we just need to power it on," Aksel said, looking back. Zay smiled to himself.
"Power On," Zay said clearly, the machine started buzzing.
Aksel turned all the way around to look at him, "what? Is that seriously the power button?"
Zay smiled and nodded, "It wasn't me, it was Riley." Zay walked towards the machine still smiling and walked through, Aksel sighed and followed after him.
Zay and Aksel stumbled through the time machine and bumped into Aksel, the past Aksel. He got up from the floor and scratched his head.
"Ummm..." he said, confused. Zay stared between the original Aksel and the past Aksel.
"This is weird, you guys look EXACTLY alike," Zay lifted his finger to poke the past Aksel. That Aksel swatted his finger away.
"Well he is me," the original Aksel said.
"What is happening," past Aksel asked. A groan came from behind the past Aksel and Zay spotted Riley on the floor. He looked at the original Aksel.
"Seriously?" Zay asked, looking at Aksel. He walked over to Riley.
"What? That was not me, it was him," Aksel said pointing to past Aksel, he looked at Riley and laughed.
"Yeah but you did it first, and you ARE him, or he IS you or whatever, just talk to him... yourself... just talk!" Zay said annoyed, time travel was annoying him very much. He bent down and rested Riley against the wall.
"Um, don't go back in time, I know your mother is important to you, well because she is my mother as well. But saving one person is affecting everyone in the future, they were disappearing, and nothing existed anymore. Also, you, or we could die, so just don't do it... ok?" original Aksel said to him, past Aksel looked at him in disgust.
"This isn't real, I'm going to save my mother, and no one is stopping me, especially not myself," past Aksel said, original Aksel looked irritated, "why am I such a pain," he said under his breath.
"I've been asking that question about you ever since I met you," Zay said smiling, Aksel smacked his arm.
"Move out of my way," past Aksel said, getting in his face.
