Richie slipped into Beverly's apartment easily. His routine was to hop on the roof and climb through her bedroom window below, because it was always unlocked. He knew she was sleeping because of the soft blue light in a corner of the room; her nightlight. Eddie had stayed in the car and listened to the CD that Richie put in the radio.

He was in and out of the home in two minutes. All he did was put money inside of her backpack, where he knew she would find it; it was all she needed left to get the abortion payed full.

When he was about to leave, he turned back to her sleeping in her bed. He was really going to miss her.

Stay safe, Bevvie.

He left. And returned to the car again to drive wherever Eddie wanted to go. The brunette said he just wanted to leave the town, but Richie knew he wanted to be really far away. He was really running away with his enemy, Eddie Kaspbrak, the asshole of Derry.

"So how long do you think we'll be gone?" Richie asked once they stopped at a red light, it was nearly nine o'clock.

"I want to be gone forever. When I turn eighteen, I'll be able to live on my own." Eddie replied, playing with his fingers and not looking at Richie.

"Oh," he said. "Forever?"

"It'll take my mom a few hours to figure out I'm gone."

"How?"

"I stole her money, so she'll know."

"Do you think she'll call the police? I don't want to get arrested."

Eddie shrugged, "I'm not sure." Then he finally glanced at the other male. He watched as Richie's eyes were concentrated on the road because the light turned green. He thought maybe he could learn to be friends with him.

"There's a motel a good fifteen minutes from here. We should stop there to rest." Richie suggested, adjusting his jacket. Eddie didn't say anything about it, he needed to sleep, too.

Once they got a room, with one bed (Richie chose it because "Two beds would cost more!") and a working shower, the two put down their bags. Eddie was severely tired, whilst Richie turned on the television. It was an okay motel room, but it was freezing cold. It didn't matter because it was cheap.

"Bed sweet bed," Richie bounced on it, immediately getting comfortable. However, the bed squeaked once he made contact with it.

Eddie was standing by the door, ready to break down and sob because he was finally gone. He escaped his mother, and high school, and all that stupid shit.

Richie looked at him, "What're you doing?"

"I just wanna sleep..."

"Oh."

"Uh huh." Eddie sniffled, quickly walking to the bathroom and closing the door.
Richie's eyes followed Eddie as he went into the bathroom and locked the door. He didn't hear anything for a moment, before he heard a quiet whimper. Then a sob. And then he heard Eddie full on sniffling and crying.

He sat still on the bed and listened, he kind of felt bad for him.

Morning came sooner than Eddie liked, the sun shone right into his eyes from the window.

He groaned and sat up from the bed, immediately feeling cold. There was Richie's body next to him, except his hand was gently holding his forearm.

Oh well, must've fallen asleep like that.
