head to head, let's go.

"which one of you told him," jaehyun asked sternly, staring at his friends as they sat at the campus' diner.

"told who what?" responded a confused yukhei, "what's up, jae?"

"doyoung. he knows about the bet," the look on his face was tense. he didn't know why exactly it affected him so much, but it did.

johnny scoffed, "so what? you mad because he found out, and now you can't get your free pot? boohoo, jung."

ah shit, here we go again.

"what gives you the right to speak up, johnny? you mad because doyoung chose me over your ass? boohoo, seo," he bit back. he was still holding back, though. he didn't want to attack another person, but johnny's comment somehow irked him.

you see, johnny and jaehyun are friends, but they do have their rivalries sometimes.

both wanted to be team captain, but jaehyun got the spot. both wanted doyoung, but jaehyun got the guy.

in conclusion, johnny envied jaehyun, and for many other reasons too.

johnny stood up from his seat, and approached jaehyun.

"you know what? maybe doyoung would've been better off choosing me. at least i wouldn't have left him hanging over something as small as three words," the taller spat, giving a hard push to jaehyun's chest.

"woah there guys.. no need.. to get.. physical," xuxi panicked, wide-eyed.

they ignored the younger's comment. jaehyun chuckled, "oh come on johnny. as if you'd be able to fulfill his needs like i could. there's a reason he chose me."

"there's also a reason why he hates you, jaehyun. you're heartless."

thud.

a loud noise rang throughout the diner. the taller boy was suddenly on the ground, holding onto his side. he groaned as he got up, his face turning into a grimace.

"he doesn't hate me."

"sure, jae. believe what you want, but we all know how you are," he panted, "you're a violent monster. as i said, heartless."

as jaehyun was about to charge back into johnny, when the rest of their friends grabbed onto him, preventing him from getting any closer.

"fucking stop, you guys," mark exclaimed, "johnny, just admit you told doyoung about the bet. we all know you did."

johnny scoffed once again, "fine! i told him, but only because jung jaehyun shouldn't ever be trusted when it comes to love. he even doesn't know what it is," he laughed.

"believe what you want, seo. i know what love is," jaehyun replied, still trying to escape his friends' grips.

"and how? you love no one. we all know jung jaehyun loves no one."

ah, those words again.

jaehyun pulled, and pulled against their grip. at this point, you could easily say he was 'seeing red'. he was beyond angry. furious. so blinded to the point where he didn't hear a certain someone walk into the diner.

"jaehyun!" that person exclaimed, breaking said boy from his blinding rage.

"doyoung?" he softened upon seeing the boy. he looked back at johnny, who wore a surprised look on his face. then, he looked at his other friends, noticing how mark had his phone in his hand.

"did you call him here?" he asked the boy, who was almost trembling in fear of being the next person to receive a jung-style beatdown.

"he did, but don't get angry at him," doyoung responded, approaching jaehyun to gently rub his arm, in an attempt to calm him down.

"doyoung, trust me. i'm acting on my own. i-"

oh shit. he wasn't supposed to admit that.

the diner fell silent. they were surprised none of the staff tried to do anything about them, they were the only customers anyways. all eyes were on jaehyun.

johnny laughed, "what, so you love him now? how convenient. you didn't before, what made you change your mind?" he mocked.

jaehyun tried to charge at the taller again, only to be held back by doyoung's soft hand grabbing his.

"don't, please."

jaehyun sighed, finally calming down.

"so what if i did? i don't even know if i do, but so what if i did?"

the taller scoffed, "forget it, whatever you say, i guess," he said, walking towards the exit.

johnny suddenly turned around, and looked back at jaehyun, "if you hurt him again, jung, you're dead to me," he added, before he finally left.

the whole room fell silent. doyoung stared at jaehyun, carefully watching his expression. the younger was clearly confused and upset, doyoung could easily tell. he was too, honestly.

"so.. the bet's off?" yukhei asked, earning glares from the group, "i'm guessing that's a yes.."

"and then he just left! but before that he was all like 'hurt him and you're dead to me'. it was so intense, i could've pissed myself."

"that's gross mark, but whatever, at least you're cute."

"you're a brat hyuck, but whatever, at least you're cute."

ah, young love, i guess you could say.

we continue this chapter in lee donghyuck's room, where he and his boyfriend had just finished discussing the 'johnjae fight', as mark calls it.

donghyuck loved it when the older would describe events that happen throughout his day, he was always so into the stories he would tell. it was adorable, to say the least. his eyes would sparkle, and his smile was wider than ever. it made donghyuck fall in love all over again.

the younger would stare and stare at the other's face, smiling as he commented about every single thing that happened.

god, lee donghyuck was a whipped man.

heart to heart, we go.
