what comes next?

lee.ty: hey doyoungie~
missed me?

"what the.." mumbled doyoung as he stared at his phone screen.

he turned his head and looked over at jaehyun, who was still fast asleep. he cooed at the younger, brushing some of his hair out of his face.

the two had spent last night in jaehyun's dorm room. they didn't do much, though. just a bit of making out here and there, you know, the usual. that ended in doyoung without his jeans on, and jaehyun's long-sleeved shirt discarded onto the floor (which, by the way, were still on the floor).

with a sigh, doyoung sat up on jaehyun's bed and unlocked his phone, quickly replying to taeyong's message.

kdyoung.96:
Frankly, no.
What do you want?

lee.ty:
wow, never expected
you to type the way your
personality is.. boring~

kdyoung.96:
Quit the games, Taeyong.
What do you want?

lee.ty:
come meet me at
the cafe, you know
which one. you're not
allowed to refuse.

doyoung sighed again, turning off his phone and retrieving his jeans, slipping back into them.

he wrote a message onto a small slip of paper. he plopped down the paper onto jaehyun's bedside table, and planted a kiss on his forehead, before quietly leaving the room.

in the end, he did meet up with taeyong.

the older was sat at a table alone, two drinks in front of him.

"i bought you a drink," he smiled at doyoung.

"i can see that.. tell me, what are you doing back here? didn't you leave the city?"

taeyong chuckled, "yes, i did.. but i came back to talk to you."

doyoung tilted his head in confusion, "about?"

"you know about what i did, don't you?"

he nodded, "of course. jaehyun told me about it.. why?"

"doyoung," he purred, "don't you miss how things used to be?"

doyoung furrowed his eyebrows, "elaborate?" he replied, taking a sip of the drink taeyong had bought him.

"remember, doie? when we were practically inseparable?"

jaehyun woke up shirtless and alone. he pouted upon not seeing doyoung beside him, or anywhere in the room.

he groaned, slowly sitting up. he noticed a note on his bedside table.

'had to go out for something, sorry :(
maybe i can make it up to you later?'

it was definitely doyoung's handwriting.

jaehyun frowned, wondering why doyoung would've left in such a rush.

eh, maybe it was just council business.

eh, jaehyun could take this as an opportunity to go out for a smoke.

you know what, not a bad idea.

jaehyun walked down the street, looking into the windows of each little boutique, restaurant and cafe he passed by.

he stopped in front of doyoung's favourite cafe, and inhaled his joint, receiving judgemental stares from a few parents and elderly bystanders.

he exhaled, then faced the glass behind him. he brushed hair out of his face, using the window as a mirror.

his eyes then scanned the inside of the cafe. suddenly, he notices a very familiar back, seated at a table. he also noticed an alarmingly familiar face, at the same table.

he dropped his joint, nearly running inside.
