Opening...
Miguel: How Many Drinks

"You know what this song reminds me of?" Chris said Turing down the radio. "What?" "It is, literally everything that was going through my head the night we first met. Minus the trying to get in to your pants part...sort of." He said making me laugh. "Yeah it does make sense. Plus this song is sexy as fuck. Like you."

We were cruising down the streets of Atlanta,Georgia. The last time I was here I was probably 4 and couldn't even comprehend what was happening. But this time, I'm here to support Chris. He is here for an audition for his next lead role. Yes, the role is significantly smaller than say a superhero, but by now everyone is clear that he wants to step out of that character for a while and do other things.

He asked me to come down with him and while were down here we might as well make a vacation out of it. Chris owns a second home down here, for when he films Marvel movies, and I've never been.

"So babe, I've got something to tell you." He said as he parked the car. "...yeah, what's up?" "Its about my audition tomorrow." "You nervous? I mean you're Chris Evans you practically got the part already." I said getting out of the car. "Okay, so one it isn't about being nervous. And two, being famous doesn't automatically get me the part, because other famous people are going for it too." "I know I know, I'm just biased. So, what is it?"

He leaned up against the car door and crossed his arms. "...So I got a look at the people who are auditioning, and what they are auditioning for." "Okay...is something wrong?" "Nothing is wrong, I just feel like I should give you, a heads up. One of my ex girlfriends is auditioning for the female lead." He said.

Now look I'm not one to be the crazy over protective girlfriend that doesn't let her boyfriend live his life. I have enough trust and faith in Chris that he won't try anything stupid. So, I didn't panic.

"Ok. Which one?" "...Jenny." "Ok. Is that it?" "...Yeah. I sort of thought you'd have a different reaction. You're cool?" "Ofcourse I am. Why wouldn't I be?" "I mean I don't know I just felt like it'd be wrong to not tell you, and then I'd be keeping something from you. Just...don't freak out Alright? I know you and how you get." He said putting his keys in his pocket.

"Its fine. We are all mature adults here and I trust you fully and whole heartedly, my,dashing, handsome prince." I said dramatically throwing myself on top of him. He chuckled and kissed my temple.

"Yeah. Ok weirdo I got a 6 AM casting call lets take these bags in to the house."

The Next Day, Chris's POV...

"....And that is all we will be needing from you today Mr. Evans, thank you for your time." Director James Wan said to me. I honestly felt like I did a pretty good job auditioning for this role. I'm playing a father to a young boy, not to different from my role in "Gifted". Only this time I'm not...that great of a parental figure.

The audition process is nothing short of exhausting. Constantly going over your lines and making sure you've got them memorized. On top of that not letting every other actor you see walk out of the auditioning room intimidate you, while also not falling asleep waiting for your turn. I walked out of the room and called for an Uber.

"Well look who it is." I heard a familiar voice say. I turned my head to see Jenny standing behind me smiling. "Wow, hey how you been?" I asked as if I actually cared.

Here is the thing. Jenny and I did not split on great terms really, I mean I don't hate her but, I don't want anything to do with her. I tried to give us a second chance a few years back, I really did. But...it clearly was not meant to be.

"How many years has it been, 2,3?" "Yep two or three. Oh I know this is a few months late but congrats on the success of Endgame." "Oh, thank you." I said putting my hands in my pockets. "...so who you waitin' on. If you aren't in any rush to go anywhere, I was thinking maybe we catch up more and go grab drinks?" Nice try, Ms.Slate. "No, um actually I have plans tonight. But maybe another-" "You free tomorrow?" She said eagerly.

"My girlfriend and I are here for a couple weeks, actually on vacation so we probably are gonna-" "No way...I'm on vacation too! Well, mine ends in like 3 days but, that's a crazy coincidence." Alright part of me feels like this is the farthest thing from a coincidence, and this chick is actually crazy. At first I thought "maybe she saw the audition list but it was just released yesterday, there was no way."

"Alright listen, I'm in town for a couple more days, if you want to and your girlfriend can come to Lenny's with me and a couple friends." As soon as she said that my ride pulled up. "...Look I'll talk to Brooklyn about it and let you know tomorrow morning." "Sounds great, see you then." She said waving.

Truth be told, this doesn't sound like a great idea. But like Brooklyn always says, Im too nice to people and struggle with just saying "No".

Later...

Summer Walker- I'm There

"Ooh, ah, pull up, hop out, ooh, ah" I sang to myself as I typed up my final draft of my review of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. And for once, my boss let's me write about something that I enjoy.

"Honey, I'm home." Chris said as he came in. "Hey soldier." "...looks like you settled in quickly." He said putting down his keys. I was all cozy, laid out on his couch on my tummy with my ankles crossed. "You think you got the part?" "I sure hope I got the part. I'm against Brad Pitt this time around." He said kneeling down in front of me. "Oh, baby. Brad Pitt and got shit, on you." I said kissing his nose. He grinned.

"I have news." "Yeah? The good or bad kind?" "Honestly I'm not really sure." He said standing up. I continued to type. "...Jenny saw me today and uh, she asked me if you and I would go hang out with her and some friends at Lenny's tomorrow." That sentence stopped me in my tracks.

"...So you guys are 'buddy buddy' all of the sudden? I thought you didn't split on good terms." "We split on ok terms not really one or the other. I told her I'd ask and let her know in the morning but if you aren't comfortable-" "I guess it'll be ok." I said closing my laptop.

"I mean, you guys are on cool terms, I have nothing against her personally, I would assume she isn't stupid enough to try and make a move on you in my presence...so why not?" "Really? You're sure about this?" "Yeah. We are all grown ups, and what's the harm in a couple beers anyway?"

"Alright, I'll let her know in the morning I guess." He said throwing his coat on top of my head. "I'm not a coat rack, Evans." "Yeah I know, you're just cute when I annoy you so I do it as much as possible. In the meantime... wanna jumpstart this vacation and heat up the jacuzzi?" "Oooh...steamy." I said poking his side.

I'm being mature, and not letting anything get in the way of our vacation. After all, what's the worst that could happen?
