If anyone is looking for Becca, they will most likely find her in some cute hole in the wall coffee shop, the library with her nose in an architecture book or looking for Sam when he disappears to take pictures.

Some might say that she is the mother of the group that she is known to be with. No one can deny the air of intelligence and motherliness behind her words of advice. In the little time she has spare, countless younger students come to her for advice. Everyone told her she should have done psychology as her major, but her passion is in architecture. She has always been clear that she will never let someone make that sort of life changing decision for her. Not after the last one.

That time was not a highlight for her, Becca wishes that she could completely wipe her memory of that night. She has not told anyone what happened, not even Sam. She wishes she could but every single time, she chokes up and starts having an anxiety attack. Sam being the most kind and supportive best friend understands that she must tell him in her own time, when she has overcome that anxiety and faces whatever happened.

God, Sam. She completely forgot, she was so in her head that she forgot that they were meeting for lunch. Quickly pulling out her phone she texts him apologising for being late and of course he replies with a don't worry about it and that he'll be in their favourite spot.

Shoving her books and laptop in her back she hastily makes her way out of the library almost running over Luke.

'Shit, I am so sorry Luke,' she bends down and helps him with the books strewn across the floor.

'Hey Becca, no stress it happens,' Becca hands him his books. 'What's got you in such a rush?' he says placing some papers in his folder.

'Lunch with Sam and I totally lost track of time and may be running a tad bit late,' she sheepishly smiles and shrugs.

'Oh sweet, have fun and tell Sam that we need to have another movie marathon,' he waves to her with a big grin on his face.

'Will do Luke, have fun studying,' he chuckles and they both go their separate ways.

Becca runs to Marco's their favourite little deli and waves to girl behind the counter, Adrianne. Plopping down on the chair across Sam, she lets out a big breath puffed from running to the place. She signs to him 'sorry I got caught up in Zumthor again,'

He shakes his head 'don't worry its Zumthor, I know what you're like when you read him.'

Many hours and countless coffees later, Becca and Sam leave Marco's, Sam signing to Adrianne that he'll come by tomorrow to drop some photos he took of her and her friends.

Hand in hand they both walk idly down the side walk, Becca tells Sam more about Zumthor, he smiles even though he has heard this a thousand times before. They end up at Becca's place first, Sam signs to her that he needs to get home and start an assignment. 'Get some sleep Becs, you need to de-stress. You know I can tell,' Sam signs to her.

'I promise, I'll even start watching that show you keep raving on about,' she laughs slightly. He pulls her in for a hug, she fells so at home, the warmth seeping from Sam and she doesn't want to let go.

Watching him walk away, she wishes that he could stay and fill the void that is gaping. She opens the door to her apartment and can hear Elle singing along to some indie song.

'Hey Elle, I'm home!' she yells over the music.

'Becca!' Elle runs and engulfs Becca in a massive bear hug. They both almost hit the ground from the force.

'Is something burning?' Elle runs back to the kitchen and turns off the stove.

Becca grabs two plates out, 'is Harry or Helena coming over, or do they have a study group tonight?'

'I think Harry might come but I know Helena and Luke have date night tonight, so she won't be here,' Elle replies serving pasta in each plate.

Harry rushes in with a bag in his hand, 'sorry I'm late ladies, Allie made me bring some brownies she made.' He goes over to a cupboard and grabs a plate to put them on.

Elle pulls a chair out for him and they all sit down and eat. Becca sits back and watches them converse with a smile on her face. She may not have everything together but she sure does have a great group of friends she can call her family.
