Taine was so relieved, he immediately grabbed his keys and opened his door to get to the cafe. As soon as he was out of the door and was about to lock the door, he realised he had forgotten his shoes.
Classic unorganised Taine.
He rushed in again and put some trainers on and sprayed on some aftershave. He wore some grey adidas sweat pants and a long sleeve black shirt. He knew he didn't really have a unique fashion style, but he liked to cover himself up. He felt like he was too exposed to the worlds impurities anyways, he didn't want to be criticised anymore. The trait of natural vulnerabilities didn't match him at all. That supposedly matched the societies theme of appearance not correlating with the personality of the person. Well, not usually.
He was afraid to be matched to a stereotype, so he liked to stay away from people. But he felt like it would take a lot longer for Flora to match him to something.
Maybe he could be matched to her.
Cheesy, but that'd be a change for him. A scary one, but it didn't have to be forever.
It was a shame he didn't understand what forever entailed. Nor what fate entailed either.
He was walking down the corridors and then stepped outside into the gloomy weather, it looked like it was about to rain. The white clouds moulded into the grey almost black once, ridding them of their innocence. They rumbled, almost laughing at the weak, white cloud. Like innocence couldn't survive here.
Taine wouldn't class himself as innocent. He was tainted in one of the most cruel ways. Forcing him into a pit of despair, he didn't think he would ever get out of it - he didn't expect to at all.
Before the terrorising thoughts would take a toll on him further he reached the cafe, he was about half an hour early. But he wanted to collect his thoughts and go over his speech lessons in his head so he didn't make mistakes. He knew he would make a fool out of himself anyways but the idea that he really tried, might shove the demons back anyways. that would be unlikely, they had a power no one could ever match. Like his own personal demonic army that would betray him every chance he had.
Flash.
No, no, no, no. Not now. Please just let me. Just stop...
Th flash in him, was like a wave of adrenaline teasing his heart in a painful way. They were trying to get n his head. Braking down that weak barrier of a glittering of positivity. Something that was limited in his head.
Suddenly everything died down. His prayers worked, or just the thought of Flora.
He sat down in the cafe in theses chair which caused his body to be swallowed up. He didn't really know what to do with himself so he decided to take in the surrounding for a little bit.
He didn't like it. The bell rang every time someone walked in, another someone who could hurt him unexpectedly. He didn't trust places which instantly tried to make you comfortable. The scent of coffee was so strong, he could almost feel the powder in between his fingers. It was overwhelming and would probably take him a while to accompany the warm scent into his system.
This seat was practically eating him and he moved several times, accidentally bumping his knee on the table and attracting attention from even more people. causing him to look down. He was surprised he fitted in the seat, he was utterly monstrous. He was drawing quite a bit of attention now, not many people see him around campus - he made sure of it. It just happened that he was making a little appearance today.
A group of four girls in the corner were giggling while looking over at him. He noticed and whipped his head around alarmed - for what reason he didn't know. They were all slightly hunched over whispering to each other, like he was their dirty little secret. He kept staring at them trying to fathom at what they were laughing at and nudging each other for. One of them got up, she had brown hair with some blonde threaded through which was styled in a beachy wave. She was average height around 5'7ft, but that was probably classed as miniature in Taines' eyes. She had a strong walk and it was easy to tell she was confident. She didn't seem to dress in a particular way, she wore a red shirt with some jeans and Nike Jordans.
