"Pues, pinche pendejo?" Carissa was still yelling over what Araceli had said before she left.

"Look," I yelled in her direction, "I can't do this."

"Do what?" She got closer to my face.

"This." I yelled motioning between us. "All you do is pick fights over nothing. I'm done."

"So, it's true?" She studied my face, "You put the claim out on Araceli?"

"No." I stated sternly lying.

"Then why is she here? Huh?" She pushed her finger into my forehead. "Why?"

"You wouldn't understand even if you were told." I gritted through my teeth.

"Watch your mouth." I stood up, and approached the front door. "I think it's time for you to leave. I gotta go."

"Whatever Spooky." Carissa rolled her eyes heading towards the door then turned back to look at me, "You'll never get pussy from her. Why would you bother."

"So," Maya sat next to me on our Tía's deck, and looked around, "how are things between you and Oscar."

"Still rocky." I rolled my eyes. Maya had known about my Spooky situation before anyone because she's my sister. "Makes everything worse because I'm still not 18."

"I know, but if it's not right don't force it." She smiled at me, and winked, "Plus, he's only a few years older than you. Who cares?"

"Mija, tenias a alguien mas viniendo?" My Tía asked making Maya and I look at each other in confusion.

"Umm." I stood up then saw Spooky appear in the doorway.

"Well, nice of you to show your face." Maya laughed, and then pushed him.

"Maya!" I yelled her name, and she looked at me irritated.

"Don't you let that puta near my sister again." She glared at him.

"Alright mama." He threw his hands up as if surrendering.

She laughed at him, and then turned to me. "Remember what I said. I'm going to find Mario and everyone else."

"What're you doing here?" I asked him as I sat back down.

"Wanted to be with mí princesa." He kissed my cheek.

"What about Carissa?" I looked up at him.

"I took care of it." He smiled at me, and grabbed my hand.

I thought of what Maya had said, and without hesitation I smashed my lips onto his.

"Not again." I heard Jamal's voice, and smiled into the kiss.

"Maya!" I heard Ruby's voice, and pulled away.

"Ay, you fucking idiot." I got up from the table making him run.

"What is it Ruby?" Maya came out annoyed, "I'm trying to help cook."

"Araceli and Oscar we're locking lips." He came back up the steps of the deck.

"Mentirosa." Maya stared winking at me, and walked back inside.

"But..." he stood there stunned.
