I jumped out of my sleep when I heard banging on my door. I looked noticing that Novah was still sound asleep, and got up.

"What?" I answered the door seeing Oscar, and rolled my eyes.

"Junior needs the keys." He gritted as he scowled at me.

"The keys to?" I questioned him raising my eyebrow.

"The car." He stated and I laughed in his face.

"Its my car, and if he wants to use it he can ask." I closed the door in his face.

"What happened between y'all?" Novah questioned me.

"I... I honestly don't know. Junior got out and he started acting weird." I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't care though."

"Yeah, you do. It's written all over your face." She giggled. "You stopped talking to Latrelle for him or because of him?"

I was shocked at the question she had just asked, and tried my best to avoid it with silence.

"Celi, I know you heard me." She started laughing.

"I stopped talking to Latrelle the night Maya got shot. I know he wouldn't have done it, but I had to keep myself safe." I began looking around thinking of the words, "Oscar he had gotten out the same day, so I haven't seen him in awhile."

"Okay, so you stopped talking to my brother because you didn't want him to do what Q did to Maya?" She looked at me confused.

"Yes." I looked down at my feet.

"So, now let me ask again." She sat up in bed pulling the blanket over her legs, "What happened between you two?"

"He trusts other people more than he trusts me, and he takes their word over mine." I sighed, "Its whatever. He has a girlfrie....."

"Araceli!" I was cut off by pounding on my door, and threw the door open.

"What?" I yelled back seeing Junior.

"Keys." He gritted holding his hand out.

"No, why dont you go ask those pendejos for their keys?" I crossed my arms glaring at him.

"Just give him the keys." A female voice came from behind him.

"You," I paused looking at Junior smirking, "can shut the fuck up because you are not apart of this familia. You're just a hyna."

"But, it's his car, and this is his house." She tried fighting back.

"No, you're wrong again. This is my house." I rolled my eyes.

"After papa..." Junior began but I cut him off.

"No, after papa nada." I gritted through my teeth. "Still go ask Spooky for his car. You're not getting these keys."

"Pinche puta." Junior began to walk away.

"Oh now I'm a puta? Seriously." I stood in the hallway, "Now you're acting like Maya."

"Acting like Maya? I think that goes both ways mija." He chuckled, and I could here a few more snickers.

I rolled my eyes going back to my room slamming the door. And took a deep breath remembering Novah was here.

"Things have changed, huh?" She sighed, and I nodded with tears in my eyes.

I quickly wiped the tears away, and looked at her. "You wanna go to the pool or try to go to the beach?"

"If you wanna get away let's go to the beach." She smiled at me, and began to get up.

I pointed to the bathroom door in my room, "Other side stays locked, so if you need to go there."

I began to pack up towels, but double checked that the gun was still in the bag. I grabbed my bathing suit along with some shorts and a top to wear waiting for Novah.

We were finally ready after about a hour with Novah switching out my regular shirt for a crop top saying I needed to catch someone's attention.

"I'm ready now." She smiled, and I laughed.

"Oh wait." I picked up the locket Oscar got me for my birthday, and put it on. "Okay let's go. Stay behind me and don't worry about responding to anyone that tries to talk to you."

We walked out my room closing my door as I turned to lock it up. We walked down the hall to the front door, and caught the eyes of the Santos.

"Where you going?" I heard Oscar speak up, and ignored him.

"Why does it always matter where she's going?" The annoying voice chimes in, and I saw Carissa.

I laughed and looked at Novah rolling my eyes, "Don't get slapped." I spoke up, "You're not in his house anymore puta."

"Oh no, now you're mad cause he came back to me." She began to laugh, and I saw a smirk on Oscar's face.

"No, he came back to you because I wouldn't give it up as easy as you do." I smiled.

She looked from me to him without responding back to me, and then Junior walked in looking at me, "Where you going?"

"Out." I scoffed at him still annoyed.

"Not talking to you." He looked at Novah.

I turned back handing her the car keys, "Go, you dont have to answer him." I whispered to her as she froze.

"Leave her alone 'mano." I turned back to him.

"Be back before it gets dark." He glared at me walking away.

"Whatever. Get all these people out the house maybe I'll think about coming back." I scoffed again walking out the door.

"There's a beach at least 2 hours from here." Novah smiled as I got in the car.

"Ugh, I wish it was further." I sighed starting the car up, and pulling out the driveway.

"Hey, you know what makes it even better?" She smiled at me, and pulled the bottle out of her bag. "Found it in your closet."

And I started laughing as she started dancing in her seat.
