Jacob threw open the doors to the Elders house, storming angrily through the halls. His beta, Ash, not far behind him. In their mind, the Elders took it too far. "Jacob," Ash started, "don't do anything dumb." But Jacob was shaking with anger. The Elders invited 'candidates' to his pack with the hope one of them would be his, or Ash's, mate. There was only one rule, stay the fuck out of their personal rooms unless you have permission. But Jacob was woken up to one of the girls in his room, claiming to be his mate. He was already annoyed enough, but that's what pushed him over the edge.
Jacob and Ash stopped in front of the Elders meeting room. Ash raised a hand and pounded on the door. The sound echoed through the empty hallway. But no one opened the door. Jacob knew he shouldn't walk in without the Elders saying so, but he was too pissed off to care. He looked over at Ash, his glare forcing the Beta to move out of the way.
Jacob shoved the doors open, storming into the room. Ash came in and stood beside him. "Would anyone care to explain why I have girls coming into my room and waking me up," Jacob growled out.
The Elders all looked at each other. Jacob and Ash looked at each other, displeased with the silence. Ash looked at the Elders, but stopped when he meet Elder Caleb's eyes. "Caleb, care to explain?" Ash asked him.
Caleb look around the room, then at Jacob. "Well Alpha, we thought it was time you found your mate, and because you wont go look for her, we invited some girls to stay for a little. Of course with the hope one would be yours or Ash's mate."
By the time Caleb stopped explaining, his head was bowed, eyes all the way down, and neck slightly bared. But that wasn't the answer Jacob was looking for.
"I'm aware of that," Jacob started. "But what we want to know, is why they are invading our personal space and why they are still here. Seeing as neither I or Ash have a mating bond with any of them, I believe that's it's best they leave." Jacobs voice raised at the end.
Another Elder, Marissa, stood up. "Of course Alpha Jacob and Beta Ash, give them a day or two to pack, then they will be out of your way." Jacob nodded his head in approval. "Good," he stated. Then he and Ash left the room.
Jacob made his way back to his office, not caring if Ash was behind him. He walks through his office doors, throwing himself on the couch in the corner of the room. He looks up to see Ash laying in the chair in front of him. "Please let them be gone by tomorrow," he groans out. He can hear Ash's sound of agreement. It didn't even take a week for the girls to piss them off, neither of them knew if they would last the rest of the day.
"How much you want to bet one is gonna come bother us on the way back to our rooms?" Ash asked Jacob with a laugh. Jacob laughed, "how much you got." Jacob pulls out his phone, opening his email. Trying to see if there was anything important he had to attend to. One email catches his eye. An Alpha telling him that he moved his pack close to Jacobs. Inviting Jacob over so they can meet each other.
"Ash," Jacob groans out. "Yes?" Ash draws out. Jacob puts his face into the pillow in the couch. "I have to go meet the Alpha of the new pack," Jacobs voice comes out muffled out because of the pillow. But being werewolves, Ash heard him. "Do I have to go?" Ash asked. Jacob didn't answer so Ash took that as a no. "Haha, you have to go to another pack and I don't," Ash says, making fun of Jacob. Neither one of them liked visiting other packs.
"Don't forget whos Alpha here," Jacob growls out. Annoyed he had to go somewhere. Most Alphas didn't want an Alpha and Beta on their land at the same time unless they had an alliance. Mostly because they didn't want two wolves that could e stronger then them on their land until they know their not a threat.
Ash laughed at him, "oh yeah, what you gonna do to me Alpha?" Ash teased him. Wanting to provoke his wolf. Jacobs head snapped up, growling at his annoying Beta. He let his eyes flash yellow. "I'll just have to show you your place," he said, smirking at Ash.
Ash shifts into his tall, brown wolf and darts out of the room. Jacob waits a moment before shifting into his tall, black and white wolf. Darting after his friend. He runs out the doors of the pack house, following Ash's sent. It doesn't take long before he's running beside him. Jacob rams his side into Ash's, throwing him off balance, then bolts ahead of him.
He ran until his legs started to give out; dodging the trees and jumping over logs as he made his way to the lake. When it came into view Jacob slowed down, looking over his shoulder to make sure Ash was still behind him. Ash was slowly trotting behind him.
Jacob made his way into the water. When he got into it, he shifted back. Diving fully under then coming back above the surface. Water dripped from his black hair and onto his neck and back. A splash of water made him look over. He saw that Ash shifted back and jumped into the water. Shaking out his now wet long, blond hair.
They usually came to the lake to get their mind off something or when the pack became too much and needed a break. Most didn't come out this far from the pack house. But soon, with how the pack was growing, they would have to build some houses further back. Not by much though.
"So, when are you going to meet the other Alpha?" Ash asked him. Jacob swam further back into the water. "Can the answer be never?" Jacob said laughing. "Jake, your gonna have to do it eventually. Might as well do it sooner rather then later." Jacob groans, "fine. I'll email him when I get home." Jacob throws himself underwater.
I hope you liked the first chapter of my new story. I'll try to work on it as much as I can. Most the chapters are gonna be 1000-2000 words. Leave your feedback in the comments!
