A/N: Guys! I love you! I came back from the gym this morning, checked, and 129 votes overnight?! You are fantastic! And since you are so fantastic, I hope you enjoy the picture of my cat, Milo, from while I was writing this, and yes, that is the chair I was sitting in, and yes he stayed there when I sat in the chair so I could write. He's a little strange. Also, extra long chapter ahead since y'all were so amazing, I hope you enjoy!
When I got back up to the highway, fine, just as I said I would be by the way, Carol was arguing with Shane.
"Why aren't we all out there looking? Why are we moving cars?" I stepped over the metal rail, and no one seemed to have noticed me yet, either too busy watching their argument, or too busy moving cars from in front of the R.V.
"We have to clear enough room so I can get the R.V. turned around as soon as it's running. Not that we have fuel we can double back to a bypass that Glenn flagged on the map. Going back's going to be easier than trying to get through this mess." Shane was trying to explain to her as Dale and Lori moved closer, and I agreed with him, but we wouldn't be leaving until we found Sophia. Dead or alive.
"We're not going anywhere till my daughter gets back." Carol said sharply, reading my mind.
"Hey, that goes without saying." Lori said gently, trying to calm her, but she didn't seem to want to be calmed.
"Rick, Riley, and Daryl, they're on it, okay? Just a matter of time." Shane said, and turned, quickly catching sight of me, and hurrying over, bringing the rest with him.
"What's goin' on. Why you back?" Shane asked frantically, looking behind me for anyone else.
"Don't freak out. Rick and Daryl are still looking. Rick had told her to wait until he came back, but if she had to un, he told her which way to go, while he went and drew the walkers away from her. Well when he went back she was gone. Daryl followed her tracks for a good while, and she had almost made it back, bout a hundred feet from here maybe? When she turned and went off in another direction, and we couldn't figure out why. Rick wanted me to come back and update you while they kept on. Hopefully they'll be back soon, she couldn't have gotten far." I tried to explain as calmly and thoroughly as I could, and it seemed to appease Carol enough, but Shane looked like he just wanted to get out of here.
"Can't be soon enough for me. I'm still freaked out from that herd that passed us by, or whatever you'd call it." Andrea said grumpily from nearby, and I just wanted to strangle her. I get that she wanted to die and not have to deal with this. I do. But she doesn't need to be a bitch all the time.
"Yeah, what was that? All of them just marching along like that." Glenn asked anxiously, looking around at Shane and Dale for the answer.
"A herd. That sounds about right." Dale said with a nod, looking between Glenn and Shane.
"We've seen it. It's like the night camp got attacked. Some wandering pack, only fewer. Okay. Come on, people! We still got a lot to do. Let's stay on it. Let's go, come on!" Shane said, shooing us all away, and then moving me into the R.V.
