His grip on me loosened as his head snapped towards Matt who stood at the mouth of my door with a shocked expression plastered on his face. I bit the inside of his palm and shoved him off of me as he hissed in pain. Matt burst out laughing as Benjamin staggered backwards and fell on his back.

What kind of sick joke was this? Son of a sundae cone! How dare he pull this bullcrap on me? Can he even be considered as a brother of mine? As if rubbing salt in my wound wasn't good enough, he just had to see me suffer. I grasped the collar of his shirt and shoved him against the wall of my room before punching him on the face.

"Ow, hey! That hurt." He hissed. "I thought we decided not to touch this beautiful face of mine."

"Oh yeah?" I scoffed, "I wonder what's going to happen the next time I see YOU and HIM in my room!" I said threateningly as I shoved him against the wall again.

"Okay, maybe I deserved that." I glared at him one last time before releasing him and turning my attention on Benjamin who was still on the floor.

"I'll... I'll just leave." He scrambled to his feet and started backtracking towards the toilet door before turning and closing the toilet door behind him.

"Well that was fun..." Matt said, trailing off awkwardly. "Let's do that again sometime, huh?" He plastered on a nervous smile and slowly inched towards the door.

"Oh, no you don't!" I grabbed him by the collar before he could escape and he groaned. "You're not leaving until you tell me what the hell that was about and don't even try to change the subject." I stated firmly and pushed him down on the chair, "explain."

"What, the punch wasn't enough?" He grumbled, "I can't even talk without wincing in pain, do you know how weak that makes me look?" He ranted, and my pulse ticked as anger boiled in me,

I flicked him on the head and he screeched. If it was any other day I would have taken a great deal of pride in laughing at how girly he sounded. "What in the world is HE doing here? Answer me, damn it!"

"About that," Matt visibly swallowed, and my stomach filled with dread. "I swear to god I didn't plan any of it."

"What are you talking about?" I asked, frowning.

"He... he's kind of staying," He replied slowly as if vouching for my reaction. "Here, with us."

"He's WHAT?!"

"Mom and dad called earlier, said he was going to live with us for a while." He said nonchalantly, shrugged and stood up.

"Something about treating him like family and shit. So yeah, you get the drill." He turned his back on me and walked out, closing the door behind him as if everything was perfectly fine.

"You've got to be kidding me."

My words hang in the air and I felt like my world had been tipped over as my mind tried to make sense of what Matt had said. Mom and Dad had called. They barely ever did that. So what, now they decided to call because Benjamin was staying over, how did that even make sense?

Matt's words repeated itself in my head and I found myself shrinking back in utter terror. Benjamin was staying. He was going stay with us for a while. In this house. This house which only had five rooms. Three of which are occupied and what did that leave him with? Of course it just had to be either the maid's room downstairs or the room adjoining with mine.

Oh god. I shut my eyes tightly wishing it was just nightmare or a prank. A horribly inane prank. That's it. Matt was trying to get me back for ruining his first day of school for him. Yeah, I thought and laughed out loud. I took all the limelight on his first day as a senior, that had to be it. But even as I thought all of that a part of me knew that I was only trying to make up excuses.
