You and Daniel have been dating for about a year now and you, your best friend Tara, and Daniel were supposed to hang out tonight. You always spend time with the boys and Daniel and yes, you were really good friends with all of them, but you wanted Daniel to get to know your best friend too. So he agreed to be home from the studio sooner so that you guys could hang out and watch a movie. Lately Daniel has been showing up to the house really late, he said it was because of the studio and he was hanging with the band. But you expected him to be able to keep his promise tonight and get home at a reasonable hour. You were wrong.
"Maybe he's just stuck in traffic" Tara said.
"Yeah but he would answer the phone if he was in the car" you said annoyed. "Don't worry, we can watch a movie without him, he's probably doing something else and forgot to come home again." You sighed.
"I'm sorry y/n, I really wanted to hang out with him."
"It's ok, me too, and although he is being a douche by coming home late everyday for the past 2 weeks, he would never cheat. He's just with the boys, I understand that he is in a band with them and I don't expect him to spend all of his time with me, I just want a little time to be with my boyfriend. I don't want to come off as clingy you know, but still" You ranted.
"You have every right to be annoyed about this, I'm sorry this sucks." Tara comforted you.
For the rest of the night until midnight you and Tara watched movies until you fell asleep on the couch and Tara had to leave. At around 1:30 you were woken up by the door creaking open. You slowly got up and got your phone flashlight while trying to rub the sleep from your eyes.
"Oh, look who finally made it home, thanks for telling me you were going to be late and miss our hang out with Tara." You said sarcastically.
"Look I'm sorry, I was hanging out with the boys." He explained
"I know Daniel, and I understand you want to hang out with them, but you always do and I just wanted a little bit of time with you and for you to get to know my friends like I got to know yours."
"Y/n I can't be with you all the time, stop being so clingy" he retorted.
You immediately froze, "you think I'm clingy?! How am I clingy when I'm rarely even around you, when you neglect your girlfriend and hang out with your friends every single day. The only time I see you is the occasional night and morning when you're actually at home, I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is hurting me I just wanted some time with my boyfriend for heavens sake!" You yell at him. He just stood there with no expression.
"I'm not yours to control y/n so stop trying to, I can do what I want, gosh you make me wish I didn't break up with my ex!" Daniel screamed back.
Those were the words that left a stab wound through your heart.
"Oh" you said softly.
Daniel realized what he had said immediately after he said it, and instantly regretted it.
"Y/n I-"
"Save it Daniel, I'm staying with Tara" you said sternly with a crack in your voice. He just stood there in the verge of tears staring at you as you turned and went to grab some cloths. As soon as your turned your back to him the wave of tears came and you called Tara.
"H-hey Tara" you spoke softly into the phone as your voice cracked a little.
"Y/n? Are you ok? What happened?"
"Me and Daniel got into an argument and- can i stay at your house?" You asked as a fresh wave of tears made their way down your face.
"Yes of course, come over and stay for as long as you need"
With that you guys hung up and you shoved some cloths in a bag, got some other stuff and drove to Tara's house. Daniel didn't want to make the situation worse so he stayed out of your way and just sat on the couch with his head in his hands .

You both went to bed and couldn't sleep, you both just though. You thought about the pain that Daniel was causing you, and he thought about how he messed up- bad. Eventually you both drifted off to sleep with tear stained faces and broken hearts.

Daniel woke, rolled over, and opened his eyes. Just to remember that his beautiful,caring, amazing girlfriend who he hurt was not in his arms, and beside him.

Daniel immediately drove over to Tara's using your iPhone location and you guys made up after a long conversation.
