Heewon's POV
I was at home just watching some mukbang since I was hungry but didn't want to eat because I'm on a diet. Suddenly, I got a phone call from an unknown number but I picked it up anyways.
"Hello." I said as I answered the call.
"Hi, is this Heewon?"
"Yes. May I ask who is this?"
"It's Mrs. Kim."
"Oh, hello Mrs. Kim. How have you been?"
"I've been great. I've been wanting to meet you again, Heewon. Is it okay if we meet up today?"
"Of course Mrs. Kim."
After talking on the phone, I dressed up in a white dress with flowers on it and got ready to go. I asked my parents if it was okay if I go, and they said yes but our driver has to take me there.
"Miss Heewon, when would you like me to pick you up?" Our driver asked.
"It's okay, I will just walk home later." I replied.
"But miss, it is going to be dark soon and it is dangerous especially for girls at night. Plus, I may get fired if anything bad happens to you."
"No you won't. You're my parents' favorite worker, they wouldn't do that. And I'm going to be okay, if anything happens to me I'll call you." I said assuring him.
"Like always, I never win against you. We're here, have fun Miss Heewon."
"Thanks, bye." I said waving at him.
I entered the restaurant and spotted Mrs. Kim at a table.
"Hi, Mrs. Kim." I said.
"Hi. Sit down here." She said pointing at a seat.
"My son is actually here today and I wanted you to meet him." Mrs. Kim said.
"Oh, really? I'm sure he is as sweet as you are." I said and smiled.
"Speaking of him, he's here." Mrs. Kim said looking behind me.
I turned around and couldn't believe my eyes. How did I not notice? It was obvious that Mrs. Kim was Kim Wooseok's mother.
"Wooseok, introduce yourself to Heewon." Mrs. Kim said but he just rolled his eyes at me instead.
"It's okay if he doesn't want to. We actually go to the same high school so we know each other already." I told her.
"Oh, that's great then. But wait, I think I left my phone and wallet at home. I should go get it. Oops, clumsy me." Mrs. Kim said as she got up.
"Would you like me to come with you?" I asked.
"No. No. You stay here. You two should get to know each other more." I'll be right back, don't worry." She said then left.
Why do I feel so set up? Mrs. Kim wouldn't do that right?
"We've been set up." Wooshin said.
"How did you know?" I asked him.
"This isn't the first time that it happened." Wooshin said while looking at you from head to toe.
"I don't see what she saw in you. She probably choose you because you remind her of herself... a gold digger." He said glaring at me.
"Excuse me?" I said angrily.
"Don't pretend you don't know." He scoffed.
"Well, this was a waste of my time. Stop trying to get involved in my life and leave me alone. And stop pretending to be nice. We all know that it's fake." He then left.
"This guy." I scoffed.
"I don't pretend to be nice, I just chose to when I want to be." I whispered to myself before leaving.
