(Sarah/Jamie) Run

(Sarah's pov)

I break through the trees of a clearing when i see a young boy. His shining red hair, reminding me of my mothers and as bright as mine and I take in his bright green eyes that are lined with fear as he looks up into my wolf s eyes. He must be no older than around 7 huddled in a ball surrounded by at least 10 rouges circling the young pup. I feel a pull to him. I know this must be Samuel. This is the same boy how jumped infront of me. I have to get to him.

I let out a growl as I pounce on one of them ripping his throat out in one swift motion. Then I jump to the next one doing the same. They all turn to jump me and I try my best to take them on. They have gotten a few bites and scratches on me but im so much bigger then they are I seem to be over powering them.

I know I had to have killed most of them but I'm starting to get weak from blood loss. "We need to get him and run." I say to my wolf who is in controle.

I have the pup to my back trying to keep him covered from the wolves. Looking around for a plan. The last four have me surrounded the only thing I can do is run now I'm to weak to fight off more and no one else has showed up.

I turn and grab the boy by the back of his shirt as gently as I can and I take off. I feel us running as fast as I can. I don't know where i'm going but I have to get away, I have to keep him safe. I feel them behind me chasing.  "Jamie where are you?" I say in my head.

I don't know this land at all so I didn't see the edge of the cliff before it was to late. I couldn't stop. There was no way I could. I feel the ground under me give out as I tried to stop. It was way to late. I felt us falling. All I could do was cuddle the pup into me trying to protect him from the fall. I'm not sure how far it is. It seemed to last forever, not knowing if it was just in slow motion or a long fall but I shift him in the grasp of my jaws tucking him into my chest as I move my back to try and take the hit from the fall.

I feel a starp pain hit me as the wind is knocked out of me, but I feel him in my chest away from the the ground as much as possible. I get flashes of my parents and then Jamie's beautiful smiling face before everything goes black.

(Jamie's pov)

Sarah left in such a hurry I couldn't come up with a plan with her. I turn back to everyone and turn on my mind link with the pack. I inform everyone of young Samuel being missing and they all rush to search. I direct everyone in different directions.

I run out shifting searching for my mates scent. I catch it and see she's headed to the north. We have a lot of land so it might take a long time to find him but I also have to find her. She can't link me if she gets into trouble. I take off after her.

"Alpha!!!! Rouges north, we believe 10 or more!!" One of my warriors link's me. I get out a growl. No! That's the way Sarah went. I push myself to move faster. I hear a loud howl coming from in front of me. It's Sarah's howl, I'd know her voice anywhere.

It doesn't take long before I start to smell fresh blood. My eyes widen and I growl. I start to see wolves ripped apart but none of them are from my pack, none of them are Sarah or Samuel who's scent I now pick up on. She must have found him. Oh thank the goddess but I know I have to reach her. I get a flash of white out of the corner of my eye when I see my mate run away with something in her mouth and four wolves chasing her I take off after and I sent a link to everyone our location.

I start to realize were we are. There's a dangerous cliff up a head were she's headed and I can't warn her. I feel myself start to panic. I have to get to her I can't lose her. As I make it to the clearing i see it.

She has Samuel clenched in her jaws protectively and I see her slip and fall from my vision. "NO!!!!!!" I scream. The next thing i know is that I'm ripping the rest of the wolves that are by the edge into shreds. I look down trying to find a way down. I see white below but it's not moving. I need to get down there now. I feel my pack show up behind me. I turn to every one.

" GET DOWN THERE NOW, SARAH HAS SAMUEL AND THEY BOTH FELL!!!" I demand in my alpha tone and every one breaks apart searching. I start to jump down edges that I can reach trying to get to my mate. I feel pain shooting through my body and I know somethings not right. She's hurt. Our bond has been getting stronger. I can't lose her. I feel my eyes sting but I push forward making my way down.
