(Sarah/Jamie) Wake up

(Sarah's pov)

All I see is darkness. Cold air wrapping around me making me shiver. I feel myself running. My paws sink deep into the earth with each stride I take. I can't see anything. Where am I? What's going on? All I know is to run, to just keep going. I keep hearing a women voice. I can't make out what she says. I don't know who they are, They seem familiar but i just cant place it. The tone makes me
feel relaxed though. My heart beating faster in my chest. I have to find her. Everything in my body is telling me I need them. Something in me is telling me to just keep going. Mate my wolf howls into the darkness. Making me feel with warmth again. I must find my mate again.

(Jamie's pov)

"It's Sarah she's going to wake up soon." Jeans says looking down at my mate." I feel it she mind linked me Alpha, well her wolf did. Shes searching." Jean rambles on going a million miles an hour. I turn my gaze to my beautiful mate holding her hand.

" Sarah baby can you hear me, please come back to us. Please come back to me I need you." I whisper but I feel myself getting choked up. We wait, there still is no response.

I will not give up not on her. I pull her hand up to my cheek holding it to me. I feel the electric from her touch. I close my eyes taking her all in. Jean pats my shoulder and nods her head to me before she leaves the room giving me time with my mate. I must have fallen asleep with her touch.

"Jamie." I hear my name in a whisper.

I don't respond. I'm not sure if it's her or my mind playing with me again. I take a deep breath in breathing in her scent keeping my eyes tightly closed.

"Jamie." I hear again. I slightly opens my eyes to peer at her beautiful face. My eyes widen in surprise. Her green eyes flash in front of me with a beautiful smile taking over her face.

I move closer to her trying not to let tears leave my eyes but I know I fail as I feel them run down my face. I hold her hand and cup her face with my other one.

"Oh Sarah, I've missed you love." I whisper to her.

" What happened?"she asked confused.

"You fell love, you got hurt." Is all I can muster up to say. We don't talk we just hold each others close. I feel her body stiffen as she tries to jump up.

I hold her back down to the bed and she looks at me with wide pleading eyes. " Sam, is he ok?!?, did.....did I hurt him!?!" She asked shaking from fear.

I place a kiss on her temple running my fingers through her long red hair.

" No love, he's perfectly fine. You saved him, do you wish to see him? He's been here everyday waiting for you to wake up." I say trying to console her.

She nods her head.

"Jessica, bring Samuel to Sarah's room please." I link to Jess.

"Yes alpha, is everything ok?" She replied in my head.

" Everything's great, shes awake." I link back but I have a huge smile on my face.

Sarah pulls me the best she can onto her bed."please hold me, I've...ive missed you."

I slide on behind her and pull her into my lap holding her back flush against my front. I've missed this feeling. Ive missed knowing if my mate would make it. I've had to run the pack as well but I did the best I could and John took on a lot of it for me. We've made changes that I know Sarah will be happy with.

There is now a law protecting the life of the omegas. As I am holding the title of queen of the alphas, they must follow this law. Some of my warriors jobs are to travel to packs and check on them. Make sure they are following.

We had push back but they all finally agreed to the new law. If it wasn't for my love i may have never seen any of this.

I'm lost in thought holding her close while my wolf purrs in happiness when the door swings opens running in a flash of red. I look up and chuckle.

Samuel softly walks over to the bed and stares at Sarah with his cute grin. She pats her lap so he climbs up and cuddles into her without a word.
