You all walked down the street until you reached a cute little corner cafe. You entered and began reading the menu while standing in line.

"Ooooooo what to get? What to get!? Ibuki sees so many choicessssss" you giggled at Ibuki as you looked for what you wanted.

"Do you know what you're getting Ko?" You asked him.

"Yep! A bagel and a small coffee. You two can get whatever you want! I'm paying!"

"Ooooooooooo! Ibuki sees muffinssssssss" Nagito smiled and giggled.

"You can get as many as you want!"

"REALLY?!" Ibuki looked like she had stars in her eyes as she looked at him. "Ibuki wants 2 blueberry, 2 banana, and 4 chocolate chip! A-And a strawberry smoothie!"

"That's fine! What about you my hope~?"

"Uhh... I'm not sure... probably just two (favorite muffin) and a uhh water."

"That's all? I'm paying so you can get whatever."

"I know I know.. yeah you're rich but I'd still feel bad. Plus, I'm not that hungry."

He sighed, lightly shaking his head.

"If you're really ok with just that then that's what I'll get you."

You smiled at each other, interlocking your hands, while Ibuki was still drooling over the muffins.

A few minutes had passed and it was your turn in line. Nagito told the person at the register what you all wanted. You tried to tune out the total so you wouldn't feel bad, but you heard it was somewhere around 3600 yen...

When you all got your food, you sat down at the nearest empty table and began eating. Nagito giggled.

"Are you gonna eat all that Ibuki?!" He said with a smile. This caused you to look over and giggle as well.

"Ibuki will try! If not then she'll have food for later!" She said with a big smile.

You were all smiling and enjoying a nice breakfast together when there was a commotion from outside. You all quickly turned around to see what was going on.

To your surprise, there was a hijacked car headed straight for the cafe!

All of your eyes widened as you jumped up and started running. Ibuki was much faster than you and Ko, surprisingly, but you had tripped and fell.

Ko noticed and turned around, grabbing you by the hand to move you out of the way just in time.

The force of crashing through the wall stopped the cars momentum as it now sat silent. You looked up at Ko and then over to Ibuki, who was now running back towards both of you.

"OH MY GOD ARE YOU AND KOMAEDA OK?!?!" She seemed very scared as she looked down at you, her hands resting on her knees as she caught her breath. You blinked, processing everything that had just happened.

"Y-Yeah I think so... what the hell WAS that?!"

Nagito looked down at the ground as he sighed.

"It was my luck again..." he helped you up and made eye-contact. "I told you you're not safe around me!" You smacked his arm.

"Hey! We're both still ok, that's all that matters!"

"If anything your luck was us being ok!" Ibuki chimed in. He smiled.

"Yeah... you guys are right..." he looked around. "We should probably head back to Ibuki's before anything else happens..."

You both quickly nodded before heading back to her house, careful of the road next to you.

When you returned to Ibuki's house, you all just sat down and watched some TV. The news just so happed to be on.

"Ugh I hATE the news," you groaned. You went to go change the channel, but then Ko grabbed your hand, stopping you. You looked up to see his eyes wide and glued to the screen.

"Wait! I think this is about the cafe..."

You and Ibuki then turned your eyes towards the screen to watch.

"According to the driver, he was just driving normally when all of a sudden his car had gone berserk, causing him to lose control. He was trying to turn away and at least keep straight on the road, but once in front of the cafe his car oddly and forcefully pulled off to the side. Luckily, no one was injured—"

You and Ibuki both looked over and you saw Ko change the channel, his eyes still wide and in shock, breathing heavily and shaking. He looked over at Ibuki, and then to you.

"I told you! It was my luck!" He said as he grabbed your shoulders and shook you a bit.

"Yes but as Ibuki said, your luck also saved us and everyone else!"

Ibuki nodded. "You'll be ok Komaeda... we don't all understand our ultimates... Ibuki does love playing instruments, but she saw it as more of a hobbie than a special talent. And (Y/N) sees hers as just being normal!"

Ko calmed down, chuckling a little. He let go of you and placed his hands in his lap.

"We're more alike than you'd think, (Y/N)... Neither of us think our talents are actually talents, just nothing. We see ourselves as normal people... but let's remember one thing.." his eyes narrowed, looking directly into yours. "We got into Hopes Peak by those useless talents, so we are above people in some way..."

You looked at him confused.

"What???"

His eyes widened as he grew a big grin, his hands rising as well.

"I mean the reserve course! They paid to get here. They just wanted their money while they wanted us! Truly an honor!"

You and Ibuki both looked at him confused, finding his action a little unsettling and random, out of nowhere.

He cleared his throat and sat normally again.

"Nevermind... forget I said anything..."

You and Ibuki looked at each other, confused as to what had just happened.

"Well..." Ibuki spoke up. "Let's just have some fun today. Tomorrow Ibuki is thinking of going to school just to play in the music room, have some fun and master her talent!"

You nodded, placing a hand on Ko's shoulder.

"Yeah, come on. Let's have some fun."

He looked over at you and put on a small smile.

"Yeah, sure."

With that, you all hung out for the day. Enjoying each other's company, and your new found bond.
